England are jinxed on Channel 4; thank God they are broadcasting the World Cup.

As for build up, I didn't even know we were playing Germany tonight.
 
Must be the first time we're playing Ze Germans and I don't find it appealing one bit, thanks for that Gareth 👍

Nevertheless as a patriotic Englishman I'll be watching it tonight and who knows we might even score a goal for the first time in ages.😲
 
The away crowd on Friday were fairly condemning.

Not saying we're going, or need, to win tonight to avoid it. But if the team don't put in a decent quality performance you'd have to expect more of the same afterwards. A few of those and a manager's position starts to become untenable, however much the FA think he's the right man for it.
 
It's effectively a friendly, exactly what done have been after. Need to be brutal and decide (bar injury) who's in the squad and who's not. E g. Toney.

Hardly missed an England game in over 60 years!
Seeing its Germany that has made my decision.
 
That is a poor sounding set up. No pace whatsoever at centre half. No risk at all on creativity or trying someone new. Hope it works out but not confident I'm afraid.

He was our best player in the Euros and if played correctly is devastating.

That said, he looks off form, then again with the stale crab football we are playing even Harland would struggle
 
Southgate and his adventurous 5-4-1 formation. Nothing more than a good result and performance will be enough. If the players can't show some fight for their manager against Germany, he needs potting.
 
Beaten by a makeshift team in Italy the other night and tonight playing against a team completely off their game as well.
Should be a cracker.
 
I'm watching two mediocre national sides. Germany one win in six and England no wins in six and just one goal. Both are a million miles behind Hungary.
 
We've been better than the other night so far, but every time that ball gets rolled back to Pope I'm doing Hail Marys 😗
