FIRST INTERVIEW: MICK MCCARTHY | NEW BLACKPOOL HEAD COACH.

Liked it a lot. Positive language goes a long way.

Bit concerned he called Jurgen Klopp - Klinsmann but he can call people whatever he wants if he keeps us up…

Or as Mick says “When we stay up”. Love that.
Appleton at times said positive things, maybe it was his delivery, but it didn't seem to inspire many people. But he often said things that were uninspiring.

The Mrs has barely watched an interview with Appleton, she used to watch all of Critchleys, but she really enjoyed listening to Mick.

He's just an authentic character and likeable, I think that goes a long way.

That interview is just what was needed. Our home games are going to be huge for the remainder of the season and our fans have needed galvanising. Mick said all the right things there to go a long way to doing that. The atmosphere on Saturday will be 'hostile' as he mentioned on a couple of occasions.

Appleton has gone. We now have to get behind the players and manager for 19 cup finals.

Like many I wasn't crazy when his name popped up, but tbf I have never looked into him.

Loved the interview, always knew he was a character. He might just fit here, you never know.

Still questions to ask about the style of play but I'm confident the club must know how he will use the talents we have.

But with the fans onside, which seems to be the case, we will have our 12th man back and that alone might be the difference.

I liked what he said about Terry improving the strikers.

Plus hes no nonsense and you might get to see something like this....

Just to say imagine seeing that at nobbers away if we won. 😍😀

My 11 year old said "he sounds good. He sounds reasonable and realistic" and he actually paid attention.

That bodes well in terms of talking to footballers 🤣

Appleton could have told us we’d all won the lottery and it would have pissed some people off.

Unfortunately MA would probably be best running a funeral directors football team.

Exciting attacking funerals?

10/10 for fist pumping makes Critch look limp never mind sour Apples. Seriously though that is passion.

Great interview that and the way he spoke to us can be the same enthusiasm translated to the players. He knows the situation he’s been there before, but he recognises the part the fans need to play based on his experience of a very hostile place for away teams to come to!

It might be simple logic, but if it's lifted fans it can lift players.

Fans being lifted and back to our best will lift them also.

That alone might be enough to get some wins, throw in the managers experience too should be all good.

I can't see him not reacting when we need subs etc.
