How about selective reading if it doesn't fit their narrative....You can explain it only so many times herts, it would appear some either can’t, or don’t want to understand .

All planned to give Big M more time to work with the squad imo.Having a Championship game called off for a cold pitch
You talk about other clubs who have it….Okay, here you go, I hope this puts an end to this nonsense. All the other teams playing at home in the Championship, apart from Blackpool, have undersoil heating. Can you now get it in your thick heads please. Maybe Sadler needs to look at this as a priority if we stay up. he clubs at home in league 1 whose games are on also the majority have undersoil heating but matches are being called off as the day progresses. There are 11 postponements due to frost so far with more likely.
So, it basically all boils down to the vermin who should have done it but were too interested stashing it away for themselves.
No doubt in my mind we wanted it off.
What sort of planning would be involved to get the game postponed? Sounds a bit conspiracy theory?
I believe the relevant regulation says : The referee is sole arbiter fro whether a pitch is safe for play, unless Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank is present. Not exactly sure on how the law stands on a postponement, but doesn’t the decision rest with the referee? Any advice on this.
Some of the 90 million should have been spent on things like under soil heating but we know where it went shamefulIt's the hangover of the Oystain years. I've no idea what undersoil heating costs to install, maintain and run but Simon Saddler has already spent millions of his own money and made great strides in straightening out club out from decades of abject neglect.
Give him a bit of slack for fcuks sake.
Just checked only us and possibly Cardiff are without in the championship. You talk about other clubs who have it….
Do you actually KNOW which ones have it through the top four divisions?
Entirely different. Junior pitches do not have most of their pitch covered by stands as far as I'm aware.Nothing to do with undersoil heating.
All the junior football matches in the area are being played.
They do have heaters at BR for the pitch obviously big Mick doesn’t fancy it
Totally agree. Why are people so sure the postponement will work in our favour?
The points were vital today. Who's to say both clubs might be in completely different positions come the replay?
All the Prem clubs, all the clubs in the championship who are at home today apart from us and some of the clubs in league 1.You talk about other clubs who have it….

I think we all know that reasonGood point, not sure about the Middlesbrough one, but makes you wonder why under soil heating wasn’t installed
I remember & I’d seen better allotments. We've had worse pitches...
Wigan's benefactor made sure that undersoil heating was installed at birth whereas our benefactor was a thief.....embarrassing from the club, we’re the only ground in the championship off and it’s much colder elsewhere. It was -3 in Wigan last night and they’re still on.
If it was intentional to give mick more time that’s also a mistake. Ground would have been bouncing today.
I posted in another thread, but this one seems most apt!! The whole infrastructure needs change. I phoned up at 10:15 this morning and bought a ticket and asked if there was any doubt as I was travelling 2 hours to get there, to which the guy in the ticket office said “nah it’s fine here…” with a laugh. Half hour later I hear it’s called off. ** joke. The ground staff also posting pics of the covers on last night to give hope.Having a Championship game called off for a cold pitch

I had to put each club in individually to search so haven't done league 2 or the clubs who are away from home in the Championship today. We are in the minority and we have the vermin to thank for that as well as many other things.
That the Oyston's should of had installed with the Prem money. More expense for Simon Sadler.Under soil heating
Apologies. You clearly know better than the professionals with your googling prowess. The opening post is Tin Pot.
It’s Tin Pot to not have sorted the pitch out.

That's the first thing I thought when I heard the game was called off.Spent a couple of hours travelling over but actually don’t mind…..too much. Will give Mick a couple of weeks to get to know players before next league match. Also see how they fare in the FA cup.
Didn't Wigan's benefactor use the compo from his broken leg to pay for the undersold heating?Wigan's benefactor made sure that undersoil heating was installed at birth whereas our benefactor was a thief.....
What about every other championship club, are we are only ones without it? Even 9/12 of league one games are on.Wigan's benefactor made sure that undersoil heating was installed at birth whereas our benefactor was a thief.....
Yes, we are thanks to our prem legacy from the Stains, unfortunately. What about every other championship club, are we are only ones without it? Even 9/12 of league one games are on.
Barrow P-PEven bloody Barrow across Morecambe bay is on the edge of the Lake District as well.
I'm just making a point as to why the game is off. All the other clubs playing at home have undersoil heating in the Championship today, I am fed up of people saying it is a farce the game is off, it's because of several nights hard frost and low daytime temperatures. If we had undersoil heating it would be the only way the game could have been played and the Oyston's should have had it installed in 2010. Sadler has paid plenty ut already but it could be something on the agenda, I don't know, it's certainly not a stick to beat him with today.Reality is without doing the away sides it’s not a fair comparison.
That said - how many games have we lost in the last 10 years to a frozen pitch?
Ps I don’t know the answer!
Despite seeing that many times, it still never fails to shock. We've had worse pitches...
Simply put, thisShit for those that travelled.
Right decision though.
Not a bad idea.We could have a whip round.
He broke his leg? He never mentioned it.Didn't Wigan's benefactor use the compo from his broken leg to pay for the undersold heating?
This is why, stop ** moaning, it makes total sense if you understand why.
You have to understand that the majority of the ground is covered from the sun at this time of year by the stands, it's not just last night's frost, it is a cumulative effect over several nights, once the frost is in the soil and temperatures stay belo freezing or just above for some of the time then the ground will get harder and harder, deeper and deeper. It is no surprise to me the game is off, temperatures on the pitch will probably not been above zero for however long the frost has been there, if it was down here it is 6 days now and the ground, even in the sun is absolutely rock hard.
I know a lot are upset because of the new manager syndrome but ou would all be moaning like fuck if we lost 3 players to injury because of it. It is the right decision and MM can now really get stuck in with the training and go and have a free hit next week before our next league game. The euphoria of his first home match ill just have to wait.
Apologies. You clearly know better than the professionals with your googling prowess.
The best we can do but still not good enough for this level. You’re right though, the pitch (when not frozen) is the best it’s been for a while.A fortune has spent on the pitch by SS
It’s never been in better condition
The heaters we have at the club are you numpty. The majority of teams in the EFL who don't have undersoil heating their games are off today. Is that too difficult for your minuscule brain to understand?Gas powered heaters have been used on construction sites across the UK for 30,40 years or more so I’m not sure how a few square meters in each corner can’t be attended to.
Heartford obviously knows more than google as he says the heaters are only for growing grass
