KENNY DOUGALL DEPARTS BLACKPOOL.

Sadler owns the club so all income is 'his' and promotion / championship football will have brought in a considerable amount.
In my 67 years of supporting and watching Pool I've yet to come across an owner who didn't make money out of the football side of the club.
Am i reading this right, you are suggesting that SS is making money out of BFC ?

Let me put it this way have you ever come across a financially challenged owner of BFC? Throughout the years Pool have consistently posted losses yet owners, including the Oystons, continued to lead a lavish lifesyle. If you've been around long enough you will be well aware of the money made out of owning BFC. I suspect nobody made more than Belokon, everyone's hero!

He probably does think that Sadler is making money out of the club. I don't think he's alone in thinking that too despite the extensive evidence to the contrary.

The really scary thing is that people as dumb as him are likely eligible to vote and to do jury service.

Are you suggesting all football club owners are making money out of it? Suggest you read something from time to time.

A boost to cash flow at least. Although it's difficult to be certain of anything at Pool given the poor communication that surrounds the club.
Communication is fine.
We are not party to complex transfer negotiations, and do not need to know detail.
All that should concern us is do we believe the club is progressing, and in spite of relegation think things are generally OK, we are far from a basket case club and well run

A reasonably well run league 1 club, with the exception of decision making regarding the appointment of managers / coaches.

Is it not hard for you to comprehend that he could 1) be losing tons of money from the club 2) still afford to live a lavish lifestyle because he’s rich?

Very interesting post, if they’re to believed then he’s been trying to manufacture this move since 2022.

We signed him back in 2020 on big money while he was still injured as a free agent, we put a lot of faith in him and could definitely see how the way he’s handled this would tick off the people above (trying to move during last season’s debacle, girlfriend posting video weeks in advance saying he’s off)

My question would be how much did we realistically get for him? 🤔 Can’t imagine we’d be negotiating for weeks with them over a couple thousands pounds.

The value of him staying and helping us fight for promotion is probably well north of 100k.. the optimistic side of me thinks we could’ve gotten at least 200k. We’ll never know though!

Because the club is now run as a professional football club its a money pit unless we get to the premier league SS is never going to make any money out of it unless we get into the top tier.

Couple of things

One he wouldn't have been on big money, this is Blackpool we don't pay big money and two there isn't a chance we would get 200k given he's in his last year of contract

He was on a reported 4k a week, which would have made him one of our highest earners, that makes him on “big money”.

200k is optimistic certainly, but I don’t think we’ve let him go for pennies either, him staying the remaining 6 months and leaving on a free could potentially be worth more to us than whatever they were willing to spend and we had all of the leverage.

Its all relative

When Oxford are paying Brannagan 15k a week in the same league i would say that 4k isn't big money

How do we have leverage when his contract is coming to an end and he didn't want a new one and he wanted to leave?

Ipswich had a whole squad on more that KD

Madine was on more so was Yates, so were some of our loan players like Simms etc

Just admit your post was bollocks and lets be done with this nonsense
One squad at a club bigger than us has a lot of players high than KD

We also had a couple players earn higher than KD

Therefore KD wasn’t on “big money”

He was still one of our highest earners, there’s nothing wrong with saying he was on big money given his wage relative to the rest of our squad

Do you ever think before you post? (You don’t have to answer that I already know the answer)

Yep I think before I post and I call out agenda driven nonsense like you posted

Bet there will be a few on that figure
Maybe at Derby or Bolton?

Can’t see it at Derby with the restrictions put on what they can spend, but wouldn’t be surprised.

Think 15k is an aberration for this league and using it as an example for why one of our higher earners isn’t actually earning a lot is dumb.

Strange that people on this thread are acting like the club shouldn't acknowledge player's contributions and achievements with the club properly when they leave? I swear some people act like their office job they despise works the same way as a football club does.

He scored two screamers at Wembley to get us promoted, he made 150 appearances in all comps for the club, many fans loved him. Just put a proper thank you out, put a compilation out on social media of his best bits and aforementioned goals at Wembley - that sort of thing. Otherwise whats the point in employing a media team, if not to create media? This isn't groundbreaking stuff for a football club to do.

If shit has gone on behind the scenes, leave it behind the scenes. They're definitely not gonna tell us what happens, so then just leave it and act properly. Dougall's leaving tweet looked less receptive than Charlton's tweet after sacking Appleton.

Yeah i agree at those clubs and maybe Peterborough and Portsmouth, but £15k is top whack I'd say

You're totally deluded!

I wanted Dobbie to be given a chance, but Critchley results at home good, and if away form improves we will be in playoffs. Also chance of a Wembley trip and decent revenue.
Not a fan of the style but maybe he will become more adventurous, and very happy with the signings of Rhodes, Dembele, and Morgan.

Definitely not Posh, Pompey maybe, but can't see it, they've been out of the Championship for longer than a decade, don't think 15k is feasible for anyone in this division really?

That's almost 800k a year, Oxford apparently broke their whole wage structure to sign Brannagan to that much (it's still to be seen if it pays off for them).

Derby's highest earners according to salarysport.com are 10k, which seems feasible for a club their size.

Brannagan - 700K a year for a player who's played the majority of his career in Lg1 and is a pretty average player or put it this way there hasn't been a queue of Championship clubs trying to sign him.

I am pissed off with Dougall to be honest. Obviously, his agent has been engineering for the move for some time and the player has been totally unprofessional in his behaviour. I wouldn't be surprised if his wannabee girlfriend decides it's not for her and is pining for Cheshire Oaks after a few months.
