KENNY DOUGALL DEPARTS BLACKPOOL.

Alternative club statement **

Kenneth William Dougal joined us from Barnsley in 2020 and soon cemented a place in midfield for the seasiders.
He will be fondly remembered for his two goals in the league one playoff final on 30th May 2021.
Our owner was so enamoured with this achievement that he named his pug after the midfielder!!
He then became a fans favourite, even more so when he dyed his hair blond and he looked dead sexy🧡
We'd like to thank Kenny for all his efforts over the years especially when he decided to piss off skiing during one of the busiest times of the season.
We'd also like to thank his partner for info shared on her YouTube channel and wish them both a successful time in the future.
As he's irreplaceable Neil will not be looking for a replacement in this January window.
Good luck Kenny, lots of love n kisses🫶

sometimes you need to look at the bigger picture, like most BFC players during his time at the club he has divided opinion from being our best midfielder to a waste of money and get rid. However overall i would say he has been one of our best players but yes he did have a few shockers. As such wish him well and hope his departure wasn't as messy as most people are speculating. He will be missed.

Buriram FC relocated from Bangkok a few years ago, fantastic club, ground and supporters. Look forward to seeing him play at Thunder Castle some time soon. Wish him all the best.

Kenny isn't who I am concerned about, the communication from the club and the lack of buzz they are generating around this season is really alarming.
I can't pick faults in the clubs communication to be honest it's to the point but that's the way it goes, who creates the buzz i would say the team things seem to be on the up so hopefully that will come back

Yeah, your right. Kenny and his missus should be waving their goodbyes right now on an open topped bus going down The Prom, all organised by the club with a live feed on YouTube.

Agreed, not sure what people were expecting. He was great for us but 3 years for a club is a decent amount of time in football. Hopefully we are on the up and we got a fee. He was great for us but hopefully we are on the up.

But he maybe has principles that mean he'd not go there. Unlike Bendo Hendo. Or his Mrs doesn't want to YouTube from Saudi. Who knows? He has Thai roots. He's made his choice. It's nobody else's business.
It's a discussion board, we're entitled to wonder why he wants to make a sideways, if not downwards step career wise, particularly when he's out of contract in 5 months time, and on the face of it there might be better options out there.

AFAIK, he's never lived in Thailand, so the fact that his mother's from there looks like a weak reason, and I don't remember him being an activist of any sort, so "principles" also looks weak.

Curious move for him. Yes he’s part Thai, but you would have that he would have gone to Bangkok rather than a provincial town in the poor North East of the Country.
Buriram are second in the table and you can only sign for a club that wants you.

Sure but your post was based on the single assumption of money being the biggest driver. I was simply responding to that as a point of discussion. I've no idea why he's gone to Thailand but it presumably ticks a number of boxes for him. Living in Saudi could be pretty shit. Especially during a time when he's getting married and starting a new life. Even Hendo couldn't hack it.

I'm just curious what boxes are ticked by moving to a club in Thailand's equivalent of, I dunno, Middlesborough?

On the money side, the difference is that Henderson is set for life either way, Kenny isn't.

Any way, good luck to him.

Henderson went for the money despite not needing the money.

He's more like you than Kenny is, I think! People are different. There's no Thai version of Middlesbrough. The two countries are completely different.

He’s an employee of the club who has left.

Not really fussed how it’s happened that’s a matter between him and his employers.

All I’m interested in is whether he’s available for Saturday to play for the club I support - no.

He did his best I thank him for that he’s moved on to another job and he ll probably move on again .

He’s not a Blackpool fan he just worked here

People are too hung up on relationships with people they’ve never met these days .

He's moving to what is currently the top club in Thailand, they've won the domestic treble for two years running.
And they regularly qualify for the Asian Champions League.
Add in his family roots, and I can see why it's probably a more attractive proposition than Port Vale on a Friday night in December.

The Club definitely need to bring in a replacement. Given the uncertainty over the last few weeks it's unlikely to be a permanent signing though - they don't usually materialise overnight.

I too am a tad surprised at the curt statement issued by the Club - it smacks of a lack of respect, which is poor leadership given the times that we are in. For my part, I would like to wish him well - he has been a very good player for the Club. Perhaps Club Management should put wounded pride to one side, and recognise that fact, and conduct themselves more professionally.
He’s obviously dicked us over hence the curt statement.

if he downed tools and pretty much refused to play or went missing on this supposed holiday then I hope he was fined his wages for all that time. Other than that not really any other thoughts on it.

Don’t care how he left, the club should’ve put a little more effort into the player who gave people their best day out since the O’s left.

But it’s not a huge deal and if the club felt that he didn’t deserve anything because of how he left then so be it, not a huge issue.

Very curious to see if we bring in central midfield reinforcements. Kenny was one of our highest earners, with that wage gone + a fee for him you’d think we’d have enough capital to get a solid replacement, but with only a week left in the window it’d be a bit difficult. Perhaps a loan, but who?

Will Critch feel comfortable with just Norburn, Morgan, Virtue, Carey, and Tashan Oakley Booth? I certainly don’t…
Relax we also have Connolly

Good post, especially your last para.

There was clearly bad blood at the end.

Not sure that we’ll be getting a replacement as Critchley has obvs known he’s off since the window began.

Sulloed his memories for me whilst his team mates were playing 6 games in 17days he was posting pics of himself skiing with his mrs...

Wonder why they have announced it today?
Bad bews / good news day? Sigming incoming?

Disappointed to see him go. I think over the last two years been pissed about quite a bit, in and out of the team. A vastly under rated player in my opinion.

My favourite player since the O's left. Consistently our best midfielder since he signed, often carrying it on his own.

Brilliant footballer and will be a success in Thailand.

Shame the club couldn't be arsed to recognise it in his leaving statement.

We now have to go and find a replacement; which won't be easy.

Good luck Kenny you've been outstanding.

If he's not yet married, him and his wife to be couldn't live together. Their country, their laws etc.

Anyway, where are all the posts from Kenny thanking each and every fan for their support?

Selfish **😉
I'm sure that he's recording it as we speak for his wife's Instagram account.

She'll probably try to stir things up to get a few new subscribers.

Oh dear, how sad, never mind. There will be more players along in the coming years to give us new memories.
Personally I will never forget his one minute cameo against Burton in the Bristol LVD Johnstones Van Paint Trophy.
Downed tools got what he wanted and seemed not to bother about what the fans wanted or club needed.
You missed out the Sherpa ........Bristol LVD Johnstones Sherpa Van Paint Trophy!

Don't worry, I've heard they are going to announce Michael Appleton as the new Head of Entertainment/Mood Manager 🤪

Why do we need another midfielder?
When Kenny was playing we had a mid 3 now it's a 2 Norburn and Morgan who'll start most games with back up of Virtue,Carey,OB and Connolly.

They'd just be another bench warmer.
