Everything about that Maidstone goal was brilliant as I thought the lad was going to run out of steam and trip up over his own feet when he set off in space.

Counter attack. One pass. First touch. Chip over the keeper. Then crushed under a pile-on.
 
They need to put the slowest right footed floaty number 10 type they have in their squad at left wing back and that will sort it
 
Whatever happens from here on in Ipswich made 10 changes to the team who last played at Leicester on Monday night, great if it works resting your first 10/11 but harsh on the fans if it doesn’t and of course gate receipts and possible TV money in the next round.
 
They've got a bigger priority with staying in 2nd place in the Championship rather than the FA Cup and won't want a replay either.

If it buggers their league form up then it's a problem. If not. Is what it is.

I must disagree here.
Every team should play to win it it’s the FA not a tin pot cup.
I bet if you asked the Ipswich fans they’ll tell you their manager fuc*ed up big time in completely underestimating the opposition in making far too many changes.
 
Great watch and story. Ipswich deserved nothing. Disrespectful to the competition, opponents and own fans with too many changes. A great rule brought in for the FA Cup was not being allowed to swap grounds anymore, maybe one brought in to stop so many changes would be good.

38 shots to Maidstone’s 2 and hit both posts and crossbar. The manager obviously thought that was enough to win so can’t really blame him really. It’s the magic of the cup sometimes and I personally still love it!

Absolutely. Every credit to Maidstone. Its their day and you need stories and results like this to keep the FA Cup going before it gets whittled down to the Prem teams you usually expect to see in the latter stages.

Much the same as us today 60% of the game, 16 shots, hit the post twice and the crossbar once from memory. But, it's goals that count
