Don't go to matches yet feel if acceptable to have a pop at the players on social media as well being complete know it alls on all things football whilst sitting at home with a brew and biscuits contributing nothing to the club

The local ones are the worst for it as at least the ones down South go to 1 or 2 away games when it's around the corner from where they live

The internet has a lot to answer for

...you’re right about the internet...it gives those with an opinion the opportunity to voice it...😉

Fully agree. Some of the biggest moaners contribute absolutely zero to club coffers yet slag the club non stop. Naming no names, Bisons!!

Couldn’t agree more 🎯

-Slag off ticket prices for cup games (that they don’t have any intention of attending)

- Slag off the owners commitment to the club (when they can’t commit going to a home game)

- Slag off the players whilst watching on a telly screen (until we decide to sell one, eg- Owen Dale who’s now turned into Stanley Matthews)

-Slag any new signings who they’ve never seen play but looked on Wikipedia at his stats

- Criticise the atmosphere saying the North is flat and it’s the style of football to blame (even though they don’t actually go the game)

But they’ll all be out for Wembley if we make it and they’ll be posting their pictures as they set off probably with a can of shit Carling begging for a few likes 👅

I’m a firm believer that negative environments and people can bring you down and make you a miserable bastard so I’ll defend a few of them and put lots of the blame on Ian Chisnall. Listening to that tosser would turn Mr Tumble into Victor Meldrew.

You’re right though, the internet does have a lot to answer for 🤮

I don't go to all the games at the moment but I do enough to be able to comment on what I see with my own eyes when I do watch us live

I tend not to speak about matches I don't attend

Maybe that's too sensible

Got to admit to having one & even though I have a ST & spent in the club shop, as I've got older detest winter evenings & have become a bit antisocial, including watching several midweek games at home (minus biscuits). Still occasionally go to away games as much for the beers enroute & craic with the lads on the Highfield Rd coach.

You could start a podcast maybe… not go the games and tell the Club where they are going wrong. No wonder proper United fans hate Mark Goldbridge.

To be fair, there’s lots of reasons why people can’t go, financial, family, work etc. life can be hectic. Exiles deserve a lot of credit for attending as it’s extra commitment for home games.

But we’ve got the Firestick supporters branch slagging off Sadler for not backing the club or the atmosphere being flat when they can’t be arsed leaving their sofa. They’ll be the same who’ll tell you it’s for financial reasons they don’t go but find the money for Wembley and probably call Critchley a snake for setting his family up for life going to Villa.

Hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Mark Goldbridge. Seen him a couple of times . ranting and carrying on. watched for about ten seconds . yes i do not like these . dont know who they are . woudlnt watch on a firestick anyway. either i go to the odd game when my son can make it or listen on bbc lancs.,

I bought my fire stick mainly to watch away games as seldom go away these days.

Watch pretty much all home games but not been to last 2 (league/BSM) as had a serious case of the man flu which I’ve still got.

I’m really sorry Philip I don’t meet your criteria and you have outed me I feel really ashamed now.

I just hope God can forgive me for my sins. 🙏

Not been to a single game since getting my firestick… not watched one on tv either tbh

Too many decent mini series and films to be watching instead 👍
Probably a wise decision in 2023 with Critchball. Paintdrying with Bob Ross suddenly becomes exciting.

I thought you were a BSA coach wanker these days

Apologises

I don't have a dodgy firestick and, if possible, do watch or listen through TTV, which at the moment I'm having trouble with and is not working for me. Like Phil, I go to many games but not them all. At 76, travelling from West Yorkshire to Blackpool for a night game takes a lot out of me and away games are no longer an option, as my arthritic knees prevent me from walking too far at a reasonable rate, or standing too long.

I know a number of older fans who live further away than I do who have these fire sticks due to being unable to travel and due to the rules that prevent them from watching their favourites, as they have done when younger, on a Saturday. Surely there should be a solution from the football authorities for this. Why should they have to pay through the nose and contribute from their pensions to Sky and BT to watch football from clubs they don't support, and still not be able to watch their own club except when these multi million providers of TV deem it OK to watch them.

Answers on the back of a used £20 note would be greatly received.🥸

Fair comment that, I've just finished Homeland again and they call it seasons

Bloody yanks

Next thing you know they will be on avftt telling us all how good soccer players are that they haven't seen play

Homeland has been the best TV I’ve seen, absolutely brilliant. I’ve watched it through twice.

The Bear is brilliant too as is Ozark.

Handy for Cods games too ☺️

I live abroad but have my TTV subscription, after years of not being able to watch I cherish my 4pms on Saturdays, when back home I'm straight to Bloomers, the turnout for the Bolton and Forest games was shocking and an embarrassment.

True, and there were only 769 at Wycombe last night (according to another thread).

Blame the 3-5-2 formation, not the Freddie Firestick crew.

I doubt it loses many people watching games on TTV for convenience etc & don’t doubt some have season tickets & pay twice. As for firesticks many would argue they wouldn’t have gone anyway. Similar to recording albums back in the day, as they probably wouldn’t have bought them, but having heard a particular band be more likely to buy in the future. Who’s got the right to say how many games you have to go to to be a fan? Many people have lots of other things they do & aren’t just transfixed by traipsing round the country quaffing gallon’s of beer & singing away at a football match. You can’t un-invent the wheel so with the advent of the internet these things are now available. I do think the authorities could embrace this better though. VPN’s & poor service FFS little wonder IPTV is used by some.

I live in Spain and support the team from my armchair. To suggest that I shouldn't have any opinions about the Club and the team is just a load of introvert nonsense. I don't comment on ticket prices or attendances because I don't attend myself, unless I'm in the UK at any point, BUT I have lots of views about the team, the players, the standard of football etc etc. Sounds to me like some on here belong in a state where there is no freedom of speech.

That’s not a good enough excuse I’m afraid.

You should get on a plane every Saturday morning (Friday is exceptable) same for midweek games fly to Manchester airport Uber taxi to the the ground and return again same way however overnight stays are allowed.

Just no excuse at all for not attending games living in Spain.

Ps
Do you have a fire stick though?

I do have one but I have never watched a single Pool game on it and i would rather support the club with this owner.
I go to most home games health permitting with a season ticket and have a season pass on T/TV.

Now I know not everyone can afford to do that but retired in a foreign country and do not need a VPN! Come on🥴🤛
