MCLF: Not interviewing Neil Critchley

It would be good for the Gazette to ask those questions on your behalf. Sadly the local rag is as bad as Pools footy at the moment.

You didn't ask any of my questions brilliantly 👍🏻
I enjoy your blogs tremendously Matt and as depressing a read as it was it was exceptionally well written and highlighted every problem that NC has had since his return.
Fantastic article

Absolutely the questions that need answering. We can all see it, but clearly, it's not registering at the club.

For me, the lack of pace, particularly defensively is our biggest problem against direct sides. If we're turning, we're stuffed.

It's a really good point about leaving CJ up at corners we are defending. At Cheltenham everyone was back so 10 Cheltenham players came forward leaving their keeper on the half way line to deal with the ball when it came out. If we left CJ up front they would need to leave two defenders back to watch him

I didn’t read your blog Matt, nothing personal, I just didn’t want to not hear the answers to the questions you didn’t ask. Just in case I didn’t get the answers I didn’t want to hear. Questions that aren’t asked are often more relevant than the one’s that are. I hope this answers the question you didn’t ask me about why I didn’t read your blog. Or did I?😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

That’s cheered me up after a full 24 hour cob on!

I can confirm John Lewis packaging is the crème de la creme of retail delivery good practice. Strong and sturdy, well taped up to prevent injury to the goods, but with a presence in the box only bettered by Gary Madine.

The thing is we actually leave CJ back
at our own corners for his lack of heading ability and his pace to defend a quick counter attack.
TBH not many Clubs do leave players up but it's a no brainer to me especially if you are losing. CJ wide on the touchline on one side and Dembele on the other. That would fool FA coaching manual.

I said the same on Tuesday night.

Neither of them are any use in defence so stick them upfield. Opposition will then need at least 3 defenders.

That'll leave more room for those who can defend to do their job......and that would include Grimmy bossing the 6 yard box more.

Or am I just a naive dinosaur?

This line for me speaks volumes!

You've brought in Ian Brunskill and Mike Garrity three times now (here, QPR and here again) - yet your management record is significantly better with an outsider on the staff. What do you see that they bring?
