Blackpool v Peterborough BSM Semi Final Official Matchnight Thread 20.02.24

Never a pen but also only a matter time before they got in again with how easily they've been splitting our back zero with forward passes.

Didn't look a pen but lets not kid ourselves we have huffed and puffed yet again and it's not the reason we are losing.

Possession based front football my arse, Peterborough are technically light-years ahead of us.

I'm reminded of what Brian clough once said, if you're shit you're shit......edit he may not of said that.

Sounds like him though🤣

Their keeper hasn't had to make a decent save ALL. night at home .
Set up not to win. Ironically if we'd have started the game with the finishing 11 I think we could have won this one. That said Peterborough have been far far better.
Critchley , as so often this season got this one all wrong. A game from Wembley , regardless of the competition , would have lifted the whole situation .
Stubborn , dull little man

If it was our player we’d be screaming penalty, 0-2 game over
On the reply had to give a penalty. Hard lines to O Donnell . Made some great stops tonight but had no option or protection from his defence on that one .
Has to be a more cohesive showing against Bolton

It’s not comfortable, but they have been the better side for most of the game

And that aimless ball by Hubby just then summed us up - no invention, no guile, no edge

Peterborough are by far the better team here tonight and are good value for the win. I’d love to see us play with this tempo and with this use of the wings which I think is a bit like what Ollie had us doing
