We won the more important game against them, which they will know, and so do we
to make connely look half decent. Why start with such a weak 11?
What do Beesley and virtue bring to the team anyone?
A better more organised team beat us,ok I don’t think it was a pen,but we should have been 0-3 down before that.We need to go back to a 4-4-2.Oh no the ref beat us again, how many times is that over the last ten seasons
Apples and oranges my friendDidn't play that way for the last 4 games? Think we're over doing it.
They played above their normal level.
And we played below the garbage standard we've set this season. And that was the result.
They are a good team, I don't like their over playing of the football in their 5 yard box. City and Arsenal don't do that for good reason.
Yes they are going to wembley and on that performance will probably get promoted,we won’t.We won the more important game against them, which they will know, and so do we
£4m plus add on's too, not bad for someone who was playing non league a few seasons ago. He's signed for Coventry and loaned back to P'Boro. They have a knack of finding players and developing them, they've been doing it for years. We've been given a footballing lesson tonight .....again! Poor performances both individually and collectively Virtue, Connolly, Morgan and Coulson. In fact, easier to name the players that did ok O'Donnell and Big Marv.
Critchley, Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dumb have no ability to identify what's going wrong and how to correct it. I can see it going horribly wrong on Saturday and that'll be season over.
I'm sure Sadler will not be happy at the loss of Wembley income. Shocking team selection.
It's more a case of it's a miracle that with the players Critchley has at his disposal how he can make them look so shit so often. It’s a miracle we are where we are in the league under such a belligerent underperforming head coach
They are a good team. It’s just the manner of the way we set up and the team selection that’s the issue. No shame in being beaten by a good team as long as you give it a right old go. Last night was another in a long long line of powder puff uninterested performances that fell apart with no attempt to correct it midmatch…. knee capped from the off by random player selections masquerading as careful squad rotation.Didn't play that way for the last 4 games? Hardly a "fortress" Peterbrough have put 7 past us in 2 games, Derby put 3 past us, Northampton put 2 past us to win 2-1. Then we've had dire 0-0 draws with Port Fail and Orient, crap performances and draws with Oxfraud and Charlton too.Apples and oranges my friend
Any neutral would think they were the home team and 60 - 70% possession on a ground that has been a fortress all season doesn't lie
Critch set us up to fail, and his tactic worked
Having watched it back several times, he gave the ref no choice. He defended an attack into the area. An attack their forward had already lost when the ref gave the pen.
In today's world, perhaps. But you and I will both have grown up in times when it was usual to see goalkeepers dive at an opponent's feet. If there had been a penalty awarded every time Harry Thompson flew out of his goal to stop an attack then we'd have lost more games than not. Yes, I'm getting into old fogy territory but I still believe there should be more leeway for keepers that do it.Having watched it back several times, he gave the ref no choice.
Even the Posh fans are saying that was never a penalty! In today's world, perhaps. But you and I will both have grown up in times when it was usual to see goalkeepers dive at an opponent's feet. Don’t disagree but sadly ( we can say that having seen how the game used to be refereed) that is not the case anymore. In today's world, perhaps. Yeah, I was far more angry after Port Vale and Cheltenham to be honest. As both of those sides battered us and they currently are languishing in and around the relegation zone. They are a good team. Yet we beat them in the league at their place less than a week ago. I would take more seriously how we perform on Saturday against Bolton. If that is a shitshow then I’m squarely in your camp. I thought season was over at Stevenage and called for NC to go after that disgrace, but winning away at peterboro followed by beating Bolton would give us a real chance…especially seeing Oxford and Stevenage are bleeding pointsYes they are going to wembley and on that performance will probably get promoted,we won’t.
