Interview with Simon Sadler after the 6pm news on Radio Lancs tonight (Tuesday).

He looked shocked when asked , it’s been mentioned probably on here or other social media sites , school of thought , never wanted to be here and rather move the club to someone else

This is exactly the kind of thing that the Club should be doing. The Radio Lancashire interviews earlier in the season were excellent and I thought that the access given during pre-season by the Club was fantastic.

Looking forward to hearing from SS and hopefully our fans will respond to this positively. 👍👍

Been needed this from the main leader at the club, hopefully there’s some positivity amongst the realism that will be spoken.

Yep all sounded a bit Oyston ish to me

If someone with more money wants the club sort of thing
Except unlike some owners, I don't think he's mentioned money.

The first time he said it I read it as, if someone comes along and proves they can look after the club better than I think I can, lets have a talk. Yes that include finances, but I don't personally think SS would let any old multi millionaire come in for the sake of it, if they couldn't prove that the club would be in safe hands.

It's only nice to hear from the owner but as with Critchley, what he says will never be as important as what he delivers. Look forward to hearing what he has to say..

What ‘some’ people are thinking. Some of us take a longer term view and realise that ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’!
I'm of that thinking too, and agree with the long term plans but I do think slightly better choices in terms of recent managers could have been made.

I think we could be better with recruitment, youth academy, media and general comms with the fans. Pricing points are slightly off for me at times too.

It’s a strange one that - I guess what he’s trying to say is he only cares about the football club, rather than himself. Yet, it doesn’t fill me with confidence when he’s already flirting with the idea of someone better coming along (spoiler alert Simon: they won’t). All he needed to say is that he’s committed to the club and has absolutely no intention whatsoever of selling it in the future

How do you know though ?

We’ve not seen the ‘long-term’ impact that Critchley has had yet… Similarly we haven’t seen the longer term impact of the recruitment policy / team as yet.

There are certainly some positive signs that we are developing potential stars for the future… We seem to be slowly and steadily developing a very good spread of ages that will hopefully give us a sense of continuity and longevity.

All that seems to be missing really is a bit of patience to allow the hard work and financial investment to come to fruition.

It’s a lot more than 1% I promise you that…whatever the figure is there needs to better communication coming out of the club..this last 5 months or so has been really poor for that
Don’t agree .Depends what you are talking about .

I’d be surprised if there were more than 100 numpties on here and Twitter critical about the owner.

They just make noise.

If you are talking about communication from the club yes it can be improved but this interview is a definately a step in the right direction.

After the vitriol and abuse they got last season I’m not surprised they retracted a bit tbh .

I don't know about that, you could find plenty of people critical of him to varying degrees - suppose it depends on your definition. I think he rightly comes under some scrutiny surrounding the pace of the off-field promises and disappointing transfer windows, that being said I think he is trying to do right by the club and run a tight ship.

If we're talking about the extreme side of the coin which say he is as bad as Oyston and all that, I'd agree that is a very small, very loud minority.

He's just being honest that if someone genuinely had way more cash and a plan for premier league football, mega stadium for e.g. and could convince him that the club will be better off and safe etc, then as a fan, he would hear them out, as he wants the best for the club.

Bad news Simon - no one wants to buy this club and maybe partly because we have a section of fans who will always feel they can run it better and therefore bring a toxicity to the ownership of BFC.

Phil - that’s exactly what they didn’t say .

They weren’t prepared to sell even if someone better came along .

The fact of the matter is there isn’t anyone better.
Bullshit. The reality is you don’t know and won’t know until the club changes hands again.

He looks well and for the most part was forthright. A liar blinks more than the norm and he was just fine. Watch the point where he does break eye contact. Interviewer was doing a good job. Cameraman should have composed his shot better. Background not good enough. Light reflecting in Sadler’s glasses should have used a ring light or lit more to the side, and mic cord should have been in Sadler’s sweater. Sloppy ass work and the pr person charged with looking after Sadler and club should have gotten that fixed before the interview started.

No offence but what would he be lying about ?

We’ll get the angry mob asking for a lie detector test through the interview next.

Don’t deep it so much I say.
