What ‘some’ people are thinking. Some of us take a longer term view and realise that ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’!It's needed I guess.
Does worry me he doesn't necessarily have his finger on the pulse of what people are thinking.
Let's see what he says, Andy Bayes is brilliant and asks direct questions.
Think it’s “say”??"I’ll just try & learn to way custodianship better"
Does he mean 'weigh'? Way isn't a verb.
Yep, what I got from it was Sadler was casting doubt over how prevalent that feeling is - not that it doesn't exist. What ‘some’ people are thinking. Some of us take a longer term view and realise that ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’!
Of course he knows and the frequent use of the "communication" word in many recent posts has probably been, at least in part, responsible for the interview. He reads this site so I'm a bit surprised if he didn't know folk were questioning him
Yep all sounded a bit Oyston ish to meOf course he knows and the frequent use of the "communication" word in many recent posts has probably been, at least in part, responsible for the interview.
But there’s a bigger percentage that readHe's probably well aware of what's said on avftt, but understands it's a very small percentage of fans that vent their spleen on here.
I really don’t think it’s widespread though, which is what he was saying really. Step outside of the AVFTT / Twitter bubble and normal fans don’t carry the same baggage.Of course he knows and the frequent use of the "communication" word in many recent posts has probably been, at least in part, responsible for the interview.
Phil - that’s exactly what they didn’t say .Yep all sounded a bit Oyston ish to me
If someone with more money wants the club sort of thing
Except unlike some owners, I don't think he's mentioned money.Yep all sounded a bit Oyston ish to me
If someone with more money wants the club sort of thing
What did you want him to say? He'll never sell even to someone with loads more money?Yep all sounded a bit Oyston ish to me
If someone with more money wants the club sort of thing
I don't think he was expecting such a direct question Phil, he went beetroot red, which did make me chuckle, Andy Bayes is a cracking interviewer, looking forward to hearing this.He reads this site so I'm a bit surprised if he didn't know folk were questioning him
Exactly . Probably 1 per cent of the fanbase if that are critical.I really don’t think it’s widespread though, which is what he was saying really. Step outside of the AVFTT / Twitter bubble and normal fans don’t carry the same baggage.
I'm of that thinking too, and agree with the long term plans but I do think slightly better choices in terms of recent managers could have been made. What ‘some’ people are thinking. Some of us take a longer term view and realise that ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’!
WUMYep all sounded a bit Oyston ish to me
If someone with more money wants the club sort of thing
It’s a lot more than 1% I promise you that…whatever the figure is there needs to better communication coming out of the club..this last 5 months or so has been really poor for thatExactly . Probably 1 per cent of the fanbase if that are critical.
It’s a strange one that - I guess what he’s trying to say is he only cares about the football club, rather than himself. Yet, it doesn’t fill me with confidence when he’s already flirting with the idea of someone better coming along (spoiler alert Simon: they won’t). All he needed to say is that he’s committed to the club and has absolutely no intention whatsoever of selling it in the futureYep all sounded a bit Oyston ish to me
If someone with more money wants the club sort of thing
Because it was stated right at the start, openly and clearly. One question never been asked by radio or or these fans get together with CEO ect
What was the genuine aim this season
Was it stability for the club and stay in league after last season dramas
Or was it full on promotion back to championship ether top 2 or playoffs
How do you know though ?I'm of that thinking too, and agree with the long term plans but I do think slightly better choices in terms of recent managers could have been made.
I think we could be better with recruitment, youth academy, media and general comms with the fans. Pricing points are slightly off for me at times too.
Don’t agree .Depends what you are talking about .It’s a lot more than 1% I promise you that…whatever the figure is there needs to better communication coming out of the club..this last 5 months or so has been really poor for that
I don't know about that, you could find plenty of people critical of him to varying degrees - suppose it depends on your definition. I think he rightly comes under some scrutiny surrounding the pace of the off-field promises and disappointing transfer windows, that being said I think he is trying to do right by the club and run a tight ship.Don’t agree .Depends what you are talking about .
I’d be surprised if there were more than 100 numpties on here and Twitter critical about the owner.
They just make noise.
If you are talking about communication from the club yes it can be improved but this interview is a definately a step in the right direction.
After the vitriol and abuse they got last season I’m not surprised they retracted a bit tbh .
He's just being honest that if someone genuinely had way more cash and a plan for premier league football, mega stadium for e.g. and could convince him that the club will be better off and safe etc, then as a fan, he would hear them out, as he wants the best for the club. It’s a strange one that - I guess what he’s trying to say is he only cares about the football club, rather than himself. All he needed to say is that he’s committed to the club and has absolutely no intention whatsoever of selling it in the future
Yep that's what he said, he..."didn't realise that was quite as widespread as you seemed to be making out".Yep, what I got from it was Sadler was casting doubt over how prevalent that feeling is - not that it doesn't exist.
Just a small insignificant minority PhilHe reads this site so I'm a bit surprised if he didn't know folk were questioning him
Bullshit. The reality is you don’t know and won’t know until the club changes hands again.Phil - that’s exactly what they didn’t say .
They weren’t prepared to sell even if someone better came along .
The fact of the matter is there isn’t anyone better.
I think he was also saying if he did sell, it would have to be to the right person. I'm sure he doesn't want us to end up like Reading or Wigan I suppose.Yep all sounded a bit Oyston ish to me
If someone with more money wants the club sort of thing
Except that didn't happen though, must be seeing things you want to see.I don't think he was expecting such a direct question Phil, he went beetroot red, which did make me chuckle, Andy Bayes is a cracking interviewer, looking forward to hearing this.
And that makes perfect senseHe's just being honest that if someone genuinely had way more cash and a plan for premier league football, mega stadium for e.g. and could convince him that the club will be better off and safe etc, then as a fan, he would hear them out, as he wants the best for the club.
Not worth the riskBullshit. The reality is you don’t know and won’t know until the club changes hands again.
No offence but what would he be lying about ?He looks well and for the most part was forthright. A liar blinks more than the norm and he was just fine. Watch the point where he does break eye contact. Interviewer was doing a good job. Cameraman should have composed his shot better. Background not good enough.
