7 wins gives us 77 points & POSSIBLY a play off spot. You can write Northampton off as it’s a Tuesday night away game.

I’m not gonna try and predict anything else cos 1.) I’m crap at it and 2.) Blackpool being Blackpool we’d probably win at Derby and lose at home to Fleetwood.

Inconsistency and running out of games tells me we won’t do it but while it’s mathematically possible we live in hope.

This season is an absolute disaster if you have a heart condition, as soon as you think you can relax in the knowledge that we aren’t getting in the playoffs and we can all just chill out and enjoy dembele for the rest of the season we go and win again then it’s back on, I hate football

Well you may be crap at predictions but as luck would have it you have me and... No wait a minute I'm crap at them too :(

I can't see more than 15 points from that lot :(

Last 5 games are very winnable IF Barnsley are stuck in the middle of tha play offs and can’t get auto. 7 points from the next 5 wouldn’t be a disaster imo. Atleast 5 points next week would be a good return

10 games left? I thought you had posted earlier in the week that the season was over? ;)

Personally, I think we will need 8 wins to get in he playoffs this season and we won't achieve that consistency

7 wins will be plenty - we only need to overtake Oxford and Stevenage and neither are in great form. Oxford have 5 points in their last 5 games, and Stevenage have 7 from their last 5. Continue that form and you're looking at Oxford finishing on 67 and Stevenage somewhere around 75.
7 wins in our last 10 games would give us 77, and I can't see anyone below us being good enough to better that.

Stevenage have 5 remaining games against top 10 teams, Oxford have 4, and we have 3 starting with Portsmouth on Sat. Win that and we'll be in a very decent position for the run in to get that final p/off place.
Oxford and Stevenage still have to play each other too, on the penultimate weekend of the season. Could get very interesting!

The most annoying part is that if we had a more experienced Coach at the helm playing the right system 4-4-2 I think we would have got automatic promotion. As it stands with this clown at the helm moving forward as a club I don’t think we will go far with him at all he is to stubborn and to much of a bullshitter for us to move forward.I would love him to prove me wrong but because of the inconsistency of not being able to string a few results together away from home this will never happen but it is so annoying because we have the squad of players to get out of what I consider to be a very poor league.

I can see us Scrape into the PO’s. But with sides like Derby, Peterborough, Barnsley all in amongst it, I don’t see us getting beyond the semis.

Being detached from the day to day worrying about results whilst away from home, I thought we'd be miles away from the playoffs especially after the defeat to Orient mid last week.
I get back after the games against Pompy and Northampton and I honestly believe, and I never thought I hear myself say this, if we get 4 points from those two matches I think we may be able to sneak in😵‍💫🤯.
Unfortunately, as said before, the other teams in the playoffs may have just too much🤷

The 'we'll get battered in the play offs' is bollocks, to make them we're going to be on a very good run, which means we'll be the form team.
It’s a sea of positivity don’t you know? The mindset and outlook on something they support and are meant to enjoy is what gets me?

It’s gone from season over, to we might sneak in, but if we do we’ll get battered in the play-offs… with the even bigger belter of if we do go up it would be impossible.

There’s nothing wrong with criticising the team you support at times but there’s a recurring theme of even in good moments they think of a negative.

Strange 🙃

Have people been smoking weed or ingesting magic mushrooms, or in some cases, both?

In the form we are in with Critchleys tactics mainly with away games, not a Scooby doo of the PO's

IF and I repeat, IF he reverts to the attacking formation he keeps accidentally ending up with, just maybe we might do it.

With the Mighty, anything can happen.

“In the form we’re in away”?
We’ve won two of the last three away. That’s pretty good ‘form’ in anyone’s book.

The really odd element is that it's the 'very winnable ' games that we've been losing whereas games v the top sides seem to suit us much better. So I'd feel a lot more confident of us winning the play offs than in our ability to get to them in the first place.

I know, it's so odd, people revel in miserable predictions, it's supposed to be fun but people would rather be a crap Mother Shipton.

We are at that point where this is renewed hope like many times before this season. Whether it's Saturday or the next game, it won't be long before we our put out our misery.

Stupid tactics and team selections have made it too little too late.

As much as you're a right misery guts, it's hard to disagree here. There really is an element of 'it's the hope that kills you' in all this.

Yeh agreed. Deep down I think we’ll just finish short of the play-offs, but that doesn’t stop me believing we can do it and that Saturday’s game at home to top of the league with a play-off chance for us isn’t something to be buzzing about… at least till 2pm anyway when the team comes out 😊

The first five games look really tough, if we can get through those and remain in contention I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Pompey will be well up for it after we humbled them at their place and they’re flying again, a win would be a real statement.

I was impressed by Northampton’s tactics when we played them at home, their press gave us problems all night. It will be interesting to see how they set up at home and hopefully we can break the Tuesday away game hoodoo.

I think Northampton is the hardest of the next 3 games, they are on a good run of form do a win there would be a real achievement, The next 2 games are ones we could both lose and still go up so anything from those 2 would be a real bonus.

I was thinking about this the other day and I have to wonder if this is very much symptomatic of where we are as a fanbase as opposed to anything else?

I mean we’re talking about something… (i.e. fairly inconsistent performances - mostly away from home) and a season where we find ourselves on the periphery of the Play Offs.

Firstly, this is a pretty normal and everyday situation in football. It’s a position that plenty of football fans would absolutely love to see their club enjoying.. A position that plenty of us would have relished at various times during our years supporting this Club - And something which ought to be a source of great excitement, rather that ‘frustration’.

Are we ‘Damaged Goods’ ?

Has the Premier League and the subsequent nonsense tainted us all. Something certainly seems to be missing, because this isn’t the Blackpool ‘attitude’ that I grew up with. It’s something I find myself increasingly struggling to relate to at all, yet increasingly it seems to be accepted as the norm.

We have nothing to lose from this point in the season …. It should be full throttle ahead!!! Definitely shouldn’t be losing 1-0 to anyone with no shots on target 🙄

I’d rather lose 5-0 after throwing the kitchen sink at it ! 😃😉

Naturally some people are more positive than others. Wiz would still think promotion was on if we were 30 points off 6th with 10 games left. A_T_G would find fault if we were 4 clear with 1 to go...

For the majority of us, I'd feel that uncertainty this season is really just linked to the inconsistency we've shown and the '2 steps forward/1 step back' or '1 step forward/2 steps back' pattern that's generally bookmarked the season. It's also probably linked to some of our performances when we've lost. Last Tuesday's loss (as an example) showed us nothing positive whatsoever and it also wasn't a surprise to anyone really. As long as we have that in the memory bank it's going to keep people 'guarded' against getting too bullish about how the season will pan out.

What are the chances that having been poop away and really good at home that now a couple of away wins have been bagged that the home form goes boobies up?

It's just the way these things fall.

7 wins seems to be the consensus- big ask and brain tells me we can't pull it off.
However delighted for Critch and the team prove me wrong.
Whatever the end of season position, can we just go for it .

I think we will win tonight and draw Saturday
