'They've changed their minds now, saying the video shows the ball was a long way over the line, have to say that was my first impression.'

'Blackpool looked like Oxford, two of the poorer teams in the mix for the play offs.'

'Their number 15 (Coulson) was seriously good! One of the stand out performances from an opposition player this season'

'Thought Blackpool we're poor & will get pipped in the play off race by Lincoln imo...'

'Thought we did ok, 6/10. Lacked a little bit of energy, a little bit of quality, and failed to impose ourselves on Blackpool enough, so all in all fair result.'

'I think you can also divide the division into 5 blocks, us being in about block 3. Blackpool block 2 pushing 1.'

'Job done, 50 points, season's objective achieved, last 10 games academic??'

'They are just a bit better than we are (not massively, but a bit) and seem to want it more than we do'

'Just 5,472 in attendance, including only 323 Seasiders........ we don't do boring mid-table football do we?'

'1-0 to the donkey botherers.'

The sad thing for Northampton is that we didn't have to look good. In fact, I agree, we looked pretty poor in terms of giving a spectacle. It was just a very easy night and we really should have finished them off.

Their commentators were slagging their fans off for moaning about not playing the ball forward saying do supporters not understand that Blackpool are making it very difficult.

I think we were by far the better team in terms of possession, passing and shape. That said their goalkeeper wasn't troubled anywhere near enough and yet again our shots on target was very low. Hopefully Norburn and Dembele are both OK and only taken off as a precaution. Roll on Saturday and Wigan!!

Limited doesn't even begin to describe Northampton's performance last night,we were at best functional but still technically a lot better. Glad we put one over them as payback for the shithousery over 90 plus minutes they demonstrated at our place.
I thought they did good professional job on us at our place and to an extent, we returned the favour last night. It's a risky tactic, though, to limit ourselves to so few chances on the assumption we will score one more than the opposition. All in all though and injuries excepted, a far better Tuesday night than we've been used to expecting.

Thought they'd have had more life in them on the counter attack and how they press high up the pitch but glad they didn't. Jon Brady has got a lot out of a little there this season but I'm guessing their race is run and they're low on numbers with having to bring Manny Monthe off the bench as a sort of left back.

We just needed that win last night and to find a way by any means necessary. We've had too much of the opposite in these games so far.

What aload of Cobblers

Their commentators couldn’t find enough superlatives to describe us last night. ‘Blackpool just ooze quality’ springs to mind !!
Not sure bout that Bif but we looked far better than we have done away of late. Better shape (ie same formation but players better suited to it) more positive, more confident and basically in control. If Marv’s goal had been given we may have scored a few more. Let’s hope Posh do Stevenage tonight.

They've nothing to play for, they're not going down and not making the play-offs, so perhaps a cold wet Tuesday night didn't bring the best out of them. Their previous results suggest they're anything but one of the worst teams in the league as some miserable gits suggest.
Didn't bring the best out of their supporters either.

Let’s be real, we didn’t need (and didn’t!) get out of second/ third gear to get the points. Compared to how I thought they played at home, where they showed energy, bite and determination, Northampton offered nothing last night.

In a strange way, refreshing to see us grind out a win away from home not playing too well, god knows that’s what we’ve missed so many times this season.

Their comments remind me of a few on here.
Know naff all about football and talk a load of bollocks, except that when we lose we are crap but when they lose they don’t blame their team and at the same time don’t give us any credit.

yep, at our place they looked a decent team and deserved their win. Last night we looked much the better team. Maybe they were on a good run last time and were playing with confidence. Last night they looked poor.

Remember the whining when we signed him? Didn’t need Coulson as we had Thompson, Hubby and Dale for that left side.
Yes and granddaughter partner is a Boro fan who did not rate him. Sometimes it just clicks with a player at one club when they are blackballed elsewhere, Jerry Yates is another example.
But he is doing enough here for me to want to sign him, defends well and backs it up with assists and goals

He has quick feet and can beat a man and play a telling ball in. We have one other player who can do that. It's a real talent in Div 1.
