How many to Wigan?

You probably described Critchley as an 'innovator' for picking Connolly at left wing back.
That's history move on non of us can change that now stop going on about it. Try coming up with something different spice your life up a bit, smile, put your teeth in and be happy.

If I purchase a ticket for the match on Saturday can I collect my ticket at Wigan or do I need to collect from the ticket office at Bloomfield Road? @SLO_BFC

I have some issues with Critchley yes..
- Connolly at left wing back
- Husband at centre back
- Hamilton at wing back
- Kouassi upfront

Gradually though he seems to be coming around to a more 'normal' approach. It's only 30 games too late but better late than never as they say.
Some of his decisions have been due to limited options, some have been experimental... Some have worked, Some haven't ...

Hamilton had a purple patch and almost certainly contributed to some positive results. Kouassi has shown himself to have great potential.

Critchley has rarely persisted with any player who wasn't performing for long...

He's been heavily criticised for playing Coulson by plenty of our fans - I don't see too many critics after recent performances.

Ultimately, you may have 'issues' with him, but he's out there delivering and the squad has steadily improved over the course of the season

I missed closing time at the ground, but you can potg tomorrow cash only.

See my lift thread.

There is nothing negative about my comment. Taking 2.5-3k is poor especially when there is something to play for. This would never have happened in previous seasons so perhaps there is some truth regarding the general disconnect as much as you try and pretend it doesn't exist.
I'm disappointed it's not more considering we are touching distance of sixth place, but £30 is a lot of money. But pay on the gate should add a boost.

We rarely take a massive following to Wigan compared to Preston or Bolton.
Only on two occasions have we taken over 3K.

Remember a game around 2016 when we only took around 200!
A night match the following season only attracted less than a 1000

Last time I was at Wigan was the 4-0 in the Prem! What a glorious day top of the Prem for a little while, all the kids got their faces painted at a local boozer and my mates little kid was on the front of every newspaper and actually was on the sky morning footy show and they put the family up in a hotel for Arsenal away. Happy memories. In the old days we were all in a pub at 10 in the morning, the windows came through and it went right off outside the pub, Wigan scattered and half of us got captured and escorted to the ground at 1pm!!

Why is this? Still a local game. Good day out and personally can’t stand Wigan.

When no one was going to games you mean ?

They were the boycott years it's little wonder there were hardly any fans there!

We've always had good followings at Wigan, I've been to virtually every match there starting in the 80's stood on the muddy grass bank, the only ones I missed were the boycott years games as mentioned.

The ones that spring to mind since they opened the DW were the first one back in 2003 when they gave us the entire long side, we must have had nearly half the 11k crowd. We didn't play them again for a while as they got to the Prem. Then we took 4800 for the Prem in 2010, then around 4k when we won to stay up in the Championship 2014. Boycott years obviously not but last season we took over 4000. we'd sold around 3800, I paid on the gate with about another 400 taking it over 4k again.

With nothing riding on it.

You’re on the verge of the play offs with a few games left.
In the championship vs league 1 for 30 quid, who cares, those who want to go will go.

We've been inconsistent this season and are only just getting going, real excitement hasn't yet built.

We took 7,000 in League one.

Just saying

🤷🏻‍♂️

You took less to Blackburn fairly recently in the championship with many saying the price was too much. Suddenly price is a factor when you lot decide not to go...

7K to Wigan?

You barley got much more at home in some games.

'You barley got much more at home in some games.'

Hadn't realised, though, that PNE could always rely on such a sizeable contingent turning up from the aforementioned Preston branch of the Young Farmers. Must be the irresistable draw generated from all that 'barley'.
