Question: Why does the.......

....lino always take the LB position. Surely this puts the playing LB at a bit of a disadvantage as everything he does, sometimes a bit naughty perhaps, gets picked on whilst the RB can get away with a hell of a lot more?

Time to have the team winning the toss choose where he stands as well as ends, I think.

Good question which I'd never thought about - in theory though won't the LB also get more off-side decisions go his way?

Are you suggesting we have inverted linesthem to match everyone else who’s inverted 😬😂

It’s time there were 4 linos, covering a quarter of the pitch each. The number of times they give a wrong decision re corners etc on the far side is inordinate. I refuse to believe anyone, except Superman with his xray vision, can see 50 yards through a melee of players and goal posts.

Job creation. I can visualise the advert. Wanted partially sighted indecisive unsuccessful traffic wardens. Hours: most Saturday’s 2:30-5:30 & the occasional Tuesday night’s 7-10:30. 🙄

Worse for me, is why they usually change ends at half time. So you get the duffer both halves.

And why is any of this discretional for the ref anyway?? Just make a flippin rule!

Just on a slightly different topic, it seems that refs are getting in the way of play significantly more than other seasons. A lot of the time to me it seems the ref cant read the game at all and ends up on the middle of the action, or they are specifically getting in the middle of the action as an attention tactic.

Or they could get in the middle of the action when they’re getting knackered, hoping the ball hits them and they can stop play and have a blow. That’s have a rest, no some blow.🤣
