South Stand signage phase 2

Let me predict what a Tense grin will say:
"Go in to the ticket office / club shop if you want to see that - its already there😉

Being the most successful club in play-off history is significant, I don't see any problem with highlighting it. Looks brilliant to me!

A nod to our FA Cup triumph could be put on the West, considering it is the Stanley Matthews stand and it was the Matthews final.

No I applaud you in every sense. I just don't get how play off victories can trump an FA Cup or Anglo Italian victory. If away fans saw something like FA Cup winners, it would have a much bigger impact than seeing play off winners.
Promotion is promotion. There is no extra kudos for top 2/3 as opposed to via the playoffs.

You're still going up, and with us having done it more than any other team in the League pyramid, that needs celebrating.

Many other teams would give their eye teeth for our history in them.

Make it optional.
You could do that, but then you could also make a “Fund Dembele” fee optional or an Outdoor Fan Zone fee optional(where do you stop and how do you prioritise ?). It’s a great mural by the way.

Personally I think the Fans take more of a senses of pride in these projects when they’ve actually taken part in the fundraising.

Season Ticket prices get enough debate and discussion, without adding optional costs on top. It just becomes another potential stick to beat the club with.

Yeah, know what you mean, but I think there's a difference between donating to an 'infrastructure' type project to make the stadium more appealing and funding a player, who as you rightly point is a reason for buying and an understood use of ST money.

Yep it's psychological, add it onto a ST and it's a must pay, which is never popular and is the price fans remember.

Do a fund raiser many of the same people who would moan will contribute anyway and not give it a 2nd thought.

💯
I've often donated more to these type of fundraisers-Took 2 spaces for Big Bertha and paid a big slice of the bottle bar in The Armfield for example.
No way should it be added to my ST.

Defintely don't need to leave space for 2024.

I know there is only one but shouldn't we be highlighting our FA Cup win more than our play-off wins. When fans talk about play off successes, you know it's to compensate for a lack of major honours which is true to some extent with us but we have won an FA Cup!
Aswell of definitely .Not forgetting the Anglo Italian win.

I like it. I think we should be displaying our play off achievements as we are the league leaders when it comes to them. Plus, I don't think we should play down how difficult it is to win a single play off let alone six. It takes courage, determination and bottle to come out on top in 'winner-takes-all' games, and this is displaying that we've consistently shown over the years that we've got what it takes. In fact, if you look at our W/D/L numbers in the playoffs, including semis, it's astonishingly good when you compare it to all other clubs in the EFL.

We should do. We are a local club and will never be a Man United or a Chelsea so hardly going to be displaying a long list of top flight silverware.

I’m proud of our Playoff heroics. It’s gritty and reflects the attitude of the people of the Gold Coast - stand up and achieve when others have more money.

What were your top three?
There wasn't too many I didn't already know but nice to read them all and they're all interesting.

Top 3 I'll go with...

First ballon D'or for Stanley Matthews.

It's just a great piece of history and so is this one.

Still the only player to score a hat trick in a fa cup final is Stan Mortensen.

Also, yet more interesting history for the area, I love the fact that the Armfield Club is the birth place of Jaguar. What they've done with it is amazing too.

Saw a video and posted it some weeks back, a supporter from another club doing a video and he was just amazed at what they've done there and you get other fans of bigger clubs saying they wished they had something like that. All that in a building with some great history.

I was there. Didn't we beat Man Utd. Les Sealey playing in goals for them.

That is a proper trophy worth celebrating, not a play off trophy that basically means you were too shit to go up automatically.

I am pretty sure Andy Gouck was skipper and lifted the trophy.

What happens if we lose our next play off final. Play off kings would look a bit silly or is that me being negative again?

There is more than enough FA Cup history around the ground and bear in mind that was 67 years ago and that excludes the vast majority of fans having any real connection to that game. At least the majority know and celebrate our Play Off history.

Celebrate our play-off history... give me strength.

Fact Check.

There have been 2 other FA cup final hat tricks.

Stan scored the first and only one at Wembley. So BST need to edit that!

Blackburn claim the first ever and Notts County the second.

I take it you didnt go to Wembley or The Mil Stad then 😎

I did yeah and great days. I would never celebrate the fact though we were shit at Lincoln in the early 90's and missed out on automatic promotion but scraped through the play-offs beating Scunthorpe on penalties.
