Morning Seasiders just to let you know after several years of discussion we have now been given the go ahead to procede with phase 2 and this was met with Simon Sadlers approval . This is a fan led initiative as was phase 1 ,details on funding etc will follow in due course . The signage is displaying our Play off winning history and is something that should be on display. UTP

Defintely don't need to leave space for 2024.

I know there is only one but shouldn't we be highlighting our FA Cup win more than our play-off wins. When fans talk about play off successes, you know it's to compensate for a lack of major honours which is true to some extent with us but we have won an FA Cup!

I like it.

There is something quite unique in what we have achieved in the play-offs over the years and is probably the best way to go up with the drama it provides, culminating in winning at Wembley.

Brilliant idea BB3.

I think we should be highlighting our unrivalled record of the playoffs.

For a lot of fans they will have never known promotions without them.

Our cups history has been celebrated individually previously and we have a statue specifically for the fa cup.

Lets get behind it and get it done.
 
The other cups would water down the message for me. The Play Off record is something very special and unique.

If we wanted to celebrate our other cup victories then I’d do it separately. And maybe a tribute to our Ballon D’or winner is also worth a tribute at some point. 👍

I’m thinking a Statue of Stanley Matthew’s with Raggy handing him the Ballon D’or 😂👍

I wonder how many fans actually know that we were the first recipients of that prestigious award?

Seen a few of those stickers at away games this season...

Dont forget our World Cup winner too ,something that can be done later on Dazzle I am sure .

All success is relative to the ageing fan base and I would bet the yoof to 30 years old would hold the playoff victories they will have attended higher than the FA Cup and A/C.
At 63 years old my only experience of success is the playoffs so it’s all good with me.
We have stands and suites named after the main protagonist of that event..
Have a day off Fella 🫣🙃

Wigan on pens was the one I remember about 1995. I had a fruit of the loom WINNERS t-shirt after with the screen printed team photo stood next to a trophy that could only be lifted by helicopter

It looks ok. Best thing about this is that it adds tangerine and white to the bare concrete parts of the the stand. I think BR should be a blaze of T&W inside and out. It's our USP as a club...
 
It's a fantastic initiative, but I just can't understand why we can't get advertising on there,very strange.

I'll be donating when the time comes.

I would love the line "It's what they do, it's in their DNA" somewhere just because it does feel relevant. [Edited to add, that would have to be "our" not "their"]

And a promotion through the play offs is as legitimate as any other way of going up.

History doesn't get replaced. It get's built on.

When the East is build it would be good if the stands have a brief note after/under the name, like SSMS- First Ballon D'Or winner, JAS Eng Captain, worlds best RB 62WC, SMS -Sole score of a FA Cup Final HT, ABS- Youngest Eng WC winner

A few of us did a few games over in Spain last year and Seville had this kind of thing on the exterior of the stand, to celebrate their Legends etc…
