Development Squad vs Nobbers - Tuesday

24mins
Neat work down the left from Jake Daniels who puts in a hard low cross which is knocked over the line at the far post by Layton Campbell.
1-0

An over hit cross from the right is rescued on the dead ball line by Daniels who pulls it back to Mariette just outside the box. Luke drives into the box and thrashes the ball into the right hand side of the net.
Luke's on fire today.
2-0.

Good stuff!!

I hope some of these lads get decent run outs in proper pre-season games and not against Bamber Bridge reserves.

Was surprised to see Jake Daniels playing.
Didn't realise he'd returned from Bradford PA.
Squires, Mariette, Hill and Daniels are all on loan but at the level they are at they can come back to play in BFC games.
Injuries forced Dobbie's hand in bringing them back. (The 1st team squad aren't allowed to play because we played 4-3-3 and everyone played on their natural side of the pitch)

Just to add to Pettiness North End's childishness, seats were provided alongside the pitch for the Nobbers coaches and subs.
The Nobbers also were given access to the changing rooms at HT.
BFC weren't provided with a single seat and had to stay outside on the the pitch at HT.
Factamundo.
Is that true or just a lark for the thread?

It was a good all round performance today. Luke Mariette and Jake Daniels dominated the 1st half but everyone contributed.
I do wonder though if we will ever see these 2 players get a chance to make it into the 1st team squad.
We created lots of chances and the only criticism would be that we should have scored more goals.
Good to see Tayt Trusty back on the pitch in a game that also saw the return of Harvey Bardsley from a long term injury.
Tbh Harvey could have stayed in the gym because he didn't have a worthwhile save to make.
We dominated the game from start to finish and it was probably a better performance than last time when Lowe was moaning we played more experienced players.

Jake Daniels was the successful centre-forward for the youth team but now we seem to play him down the flanks. Seems a waste to me as goal scoring centre-forwards come at a premium and it would be good to develop our own.
