Barnsley invasion

The main issue with giving an advantage is that our temp east gives them the whole of the side of the pitch, so no matter which way they're going they can be fully supported. As opposed to an end of ground like at other places.

Of course it doesn't mean they'll win or even outsing home fans if we're at it.

It does seem mad to turn away revenue but also we should do more to fill it ourselves, with deals and initiatives.

We've had a very up and down league 1 campaign, played in many peoples eyes boring often ineffective football and have struggled to push into the playoffs at any point. We should have at least over 10.5k home fans tomorrow still, bit it could be a lot more with some effort.

If we had generated a buzz in summer and gone with a low price strategy with some better football and actually done better we could probably be getting an extra 1k+ even in league 1.

That way this debate wouldn't be necessary as we could fill a section with our own fans.

When the east is built around 3k max seems a reasonable target for away fans, depending on circumstances, if we can fill it ourselves that's always the priority. Ideally we'd fill it and gove them the minimum, bit we are a way off that yet and under the current circumstances.
I struggle to pass on spare tickets, we'll not need it bar the prem plus championship with the nobbers (only just there)

When the East is built Id give the South to away fans
Could work, but not sure it would be popular, you could do a few different things but nothing is perfect.

If they're in the NE then any more than 2kish means they'll spill to the SE.

Se and according er could be OK, but then people want then in the ME near the north.

Yet the north is also the biggest draw, so having a ME for home fans also makes sense as it will pull in fans thr most.

We'll just have to see and they'll consult fans anyway.

Ahh well that's it then, weve reached our limit... 😉🙄

No there's much more we can do and more we can attract with the right price and conditions.

We're only at the start of the rebuild of the club and fanbase really.

We had a promotion with no fans, a season following that after covid then one with Appleton, dreadful season, then one with NC who wasn't popular returning and we haven't played grata football nor done massively well.

We've hardly maximised our potential.

No, let the away fans stay in the east where the sun is in their eyes when it's sunny and the rain blows in their faces when it's rainy.
Players don’t like playing with a side full of away fans according to Hubby and why give them a shiny new stand?

Maybe concentrate on selling the 3 sides we have. Not giving away fans more has been ridiculous.

Well we can do that, but after what many fell is a poor season yet somehow we're still in with a slim chance, it is what it is. It's not likely to break any attendance records yet just because everyone is still a little flatter than usual.

But what I'm on about is in the future and where we can and should try to be, with the right approach and circumstances.

Blackpool fans are not turning up thanks to Critchley so you need to control away fans.
Love to get you and critch in an interview and just watch him take the absolute piss with his knowledge as you clamber for excuses to prove your… point?
Every question you would have, he’d have an answer to bury you with. Shush.
The fact that you think coaching badges are worthless says it all.

4 clean sheets in a row… so bad.
The only criticism that is justified is the quality up front and that’s mainly due to losing an experienced striker for a big chunk of the season.
It’s a fact that we’ve created enough chances to be well in top 6 over the last handful of games without our talisman.

You would be like a school kid being taught if he went into the things he has to take into account for every game. You do know that there’s a lot more to it than the 90 minutes you see right? 😂

You talk about knowledge but when asked exactly what you would do to change the system, you just spout more negative meaningless bollocks about the formation with no real knowledge about the players available, training form or the team were playing and their strengths, weaknesses, current form. You’re a broken record and everyone’s over it.

My biggest problem with that chant is, I presume we mean inbred rather than interbred (otherwise is should be "the dogs year dad") and it's really not how inbreeding works. Or reproduction in general for that matter!! 😂
That chant never made sense to me either!

That east stand was built as a temporary structure when we got to the Prem 14 years ago, and from what I recall it had a shelf life of 5 years, the fact that the club has still not built a permanent structure to replace it by 2024 is a damning statement in itself, as well as the fact that once again over £50k in gate receipts has been missed out on by the football club.

Forget all this nonsense of "Ooh if we let them have 4 thousand fans singing loudly we might have a disadvantage at our home games"

What a load of utter bollocks.

I really can't see it being a club decision to not allow a full away allocation.
Fully agree mate but why doesn’t the club keep us informed and explain why they never offer the maximum allocation to away supporters.
If there are 2k plus Barnsley fans who can’t get in then it is highly likely they will be hanging around the ground before, during and after the game which will be a recipe for trouble and make the job for the old bill a lot harder.
Yeah just what we need, 4K away fans to make it like a home game for them in a game we need to win.
So you don’t like a good atmosphere then?

But can't use that can they due to walking past North and possibility of crowd trouble is it? Having said that the facilities are still piss poor... but like I said until stand built it can't change

But for me when derby brought 4k town was buzzing and game was great atmosphere... and had Barnsley brought another 2k us pool would have had to up our game
But giving them an extra 2k would be the lesser of 2 evils because you can guarantee that those without tickets will be hanging around the ground before, during and after the game which makes it a powder keg for trouble.

Massive game less fans for them the better, I hear the police bill for opening more of the stand negates the money from any extra ticket sales

Really? So to put a few extra Old Bill on for four hours work to cover the gates costs £60k does it?

Give it a rest pal.

Your mum's your aunty
Your dad's your brother
The gene pools shallow
You Yorkshire fuckers

That seems to work better to me!

If you're in Blackpool for a weekend, the weather's good, the last place you're hanging around is on Bloomfield Rd. They'll be on the prom, the Pleasure Beach, up the Tower, anywhere but standing outside a football ground.

Have you ever been in the east? As I said the sun's in your eyes or the rain's in your face, however shiny and new it might be.
Yes many times in the old days. The North gets it’s fair share of the sun in your eyes too and if you’re low down you’ll also get a soaking.

When the East is built, I reckon the away supporters will be given the North, where it's easier to disperse the fans to the coach park, the town centre and to Blackpool North

Won't be popular given our history in it and can only hold 2.7k or whatever it is and that's with no segregation. Would mean then that the moretti area and balcony might have to change too.

Can't see it.

I was told that ‘pal’ it may of been after a specific game tbf my memory escapes me
Well simple maths will surely tell you that it doesn't cost anywhere remotely close to £5k never mind £60k to employ a few extra bobbies for four hours work.

if they said we could use the east again for home fans with reduced tickets . i would definitely consider it.

The old ground housed the away fans, where A,B,C block is now, so they filter to the carpark at the back.
The other part of the North housed home fans.
There was a couple of fences down the middle to separate the fans.
