Reading - MORE TICKETS ALLOCATED

I've just booked. The guy on the phone said there will be 3 coaches parked outside the west when I asked where the coach picked up.

We all know Reading is the most boring town in the country, so if anyone is considering making a weekend of it, Pangbourne, just outside is very nice indeed.
my ex mortgage company are in the same town as Fuhjitsu. Bracknell. is that anywhere near. i detest them . the mortgage company. . piss through their letterbox on the way down.

Hope Reading tell us no more. Tell us they need 2,500 empty seats as a segregation area.
Maybe their police know how to police a football match.
Maybe their stewards know how to steward a football match.
Maybe Reading fans are able to restrain themselves from throwing anything to hand at away supporters.
Just a thought🤷

Afternoon. The away allocation for at least the last five years has been around 2300. This season they have increased this to 2900, by opening a section in the upper west in addition to the half of the south stand already in place. Not many takers for that many.

As someone else mentioned elsewhere, currently expecting around 17-18k including an estimate of 1500 of your boys and girls. Nothing to play for, but just happy to have got through this season.

The 3 guineas is a pub by the station normally allocated to away fans. A few other decent ones in the town centre, a couple of camra ones for the real ale fans.

Two options are the F1 bus from the station, right and down the hill. Alternatively a train to Reading Green Park. £3:30 return with trains heading towards Basingstoke going 7mins past the hour every 30 mins. It is a mile from the ground.

There is a fanzone area behind East stand open to all for food and drink. Not normally any bother, except the odd derby games.

Have a safe trip down. Be happy with a draw if it meant Oxford missed out.

Where Is that - The Newbury, Catherine wheel, KC ?
The KC was my local and is a great pub. The Newbury keeps failing even though it is a nice place. The Catherine Wheel is worth it for the pies. The Globe (formerly Snooty Fox) is my favourite because it's dog friendly and Colin who owns it is a superstar. If you like real ale the Cow & Cask is great, the owner is a big Reading fan also. LS&B has a great setting and when the sun is out a nice spot to enjoy a pint of ESB.

Great stuff - I do enjoy The Lion but as you say - the LSB on a sunny afternoon must be on of the best pubs ever - peroni is £6.80 now though - Come on the pool

Whereabouts do you live? My apartment overlooked the canal, then I moved near the race course and ended up on Valley Road on the south side of Newbs. The only time I saw any tangerine was before the various play off finals.

The Lion is a good pub, do they still have a Thai kitchen?

Staying with him Friday to Sunday. Could be a great weekend!
2 of us travelling down Friday on the train 10.57 from Lancaster via Birmingham anyone else on the train? Arrive Reading 15.07 meet up for a beer heard the Ale house is a good shout.🚄😀🍺🍊

I was passing the ground at about half3 this afto so, having not seen any update on the official site/app since Monday, I popped in to check when the new allocation was arriving.

The lads said they were on sale now and about 1500 had been sold, so that's approx 700 on top of the original allocation.

I asked why the official site hadn't been updated to say more tickets are now on sale and their reply was "hasn't it" ...

Anyhow, I bought three tickets (senior + adult + young adult) that cost a total of £57 because "they're in the Upper Tier" which were originally stated to cost £51🤔

I don't care about the 6 extra quid but, having got home and inspected the tickets, they're in the West Stand whereas the South Stand is for away fans according to the stadium layout!

WTF is goin' on?!

Obviously we're all gonna be in the same ground, but is anybody else in the same boat as me?🙏🍊🍊🍊🧡
