Just under £36,000 raised so far, for the crying German girl fan on Go Fund Me.

That should cheer her up :)

The original target was £500.

Outrageous. £36,000 that could have gone to people who actually need it.

I hope the family gives the bulk of it to the homeless or similarly worthy causes.

People 🤦‍♂️

I blame the people who donate as much as those who set the GoFundMe page. The likelihood is the girl's family is probably doing OK financially or they wouldn't have been able to afford the tickets in the first place, let alone replica gear, etc.

I cried following our penalty shoot out loss to Torquay, anyone fancies chucking a few quid my way? 😉

I think people are donating because she was mocked by the England fans in the stadium.

There are screenshots doing the circuit on twitter showing the lad organising this on a dodgy website (if you know what i mean) apparently saying “the younger the better”.

don’t know if it’s legit but that’s what’s doing the rounds.

I cried when we got stuffed at Barnet, i’ve lived with the trauma for years especially the long journey home - anyone fancy chucking me a few quid ? 😜😜😜

It was started by somebody in Wales, I think, and has been used as a stick by people who don't like England or football with which to deliver a political message.

Can't really understand why they have done this. Plenty of kids (and adults) cry when their teams lose. Not the end of the world and hardly a major trauma
Exactly. Same idea as schools abolishing winners and losers at sports day. Losing is just as important as winning in life. It builds character and should be an incentive to improve. The real loser is the one who gives up. The kid will get over it. It's not the end of the world.

Somebody’s gone through his twitter history and found a few weird tweets saying similar things about kids

Me too 😫😫

Every season some team gets relegated and the camera immediately zooms in on someone blubbing in the crowd.

Surely it's the intrusive nature of the director who's at fault here. The same directors who are happy enough to show us someone dying on the pitch, but cut away from a Greenpeace protestor or a streaker.

This is ** ridiculous. The people who make and share the screenshots of those tweets and upload them as "memes" are just as bad in my eyes. I'm sure if it wasn't for them it would have blown over, the media adding on to that doesn't help either. There was an outrage when schools stopped doing free school meals during holiday time and now we're wasting thousands on a little girl who's family have enough disposable income to attend a game at the European Championships. Mental.

I read something that my eldest shared with me.

Little girl cries because the team she supported got beat and we raise thousands.
Eriksen is brought back from the dead, with the use of a defib, and we don't raise money to get them at every grassroots venue.

Odd set of priorities really

It's going to be the #FBPE making a political point and ABE making an anti-English point.

If it wasn't so sad it'd be hilarious.

What about the nobber woman many years ago shown on tv with tears streaming down her face and make up ruined, when they lost to Burnley?

Should have had a collection for the camera man, f*cking hilarious.

In another country. Not even a home game.

Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours have a Crowdfunder page as they are asking for donations to repair the leaky roof at the Rigby Rd depot. At present the fund total is £7,699. £10,000 would be enough to repair the guttering. If you are interested in donating details are on the Blackpool Transport Website and on British Trams Online Blackpool Tramways section. Thanks.

I hope the family give ALL of it to worthy causes.
Anyone who can afford a ticket at these euros aren't short of a Bob or two anyway

How do we know she was crying over the Football anyway.
She was a child and several other reasons for crying.
Maybe the angry parent took it out on their daughter!

I have aged considerably due to the trauma created by reading this messageboard. Can I have a contribution to my next holiday please 🍹

Anybody giving money to that cause wants their head examining !! Bloody ridiculous that it’s allowed.
