“I’ve got to be careful what I say”

I read it as he cant slag the players off in public or say they lack quality because he needs them for the next 6 games.

His tactics are dire but some of the players are badly letting us down. I guess some of his frustration was at the officials who only seems to want to punish our players. Not that it affected the result but it was frustrating to see their players making numerous fouls without a card being shown.
 
In general play I'd say we are the better team as in we move the ball well but where it matters they are better. Our defence bar Gabriel and maybe Casey is horrid and our attack bar Dembele is just embarrassing and toothless. No movement, no pace, no ruthlessness.
 
I think Critchley is desperate to be proved right with his formation, tactics and subs and when it doesn’t happen in his mind it’s the players fault.
He is stubborn beyond belief and won’t admit that he is learning nothing and rather than make the changes we need he feels he knows best.
Like a Dictator in the final throws of their leadership - blame everyone but yourself.
 
the style of football now compared to his first first spell is completely different. Derby sat off us and let our three centre halves have the ball. It’s terrible to watch and infective. I sincerely hope Simon can get rid of Critchley at the end of this season with minimum cost.

Strange comment. Dembele should have scored today and a piss poor header from Casey gave them the ball that they scored from!

I like Dembele but he does have limitations. Casey however is nowhere near as good as our other centre backs. I think he has a good future ahead of him but this is probably one of the few things I agree with Critchley about... At this point in his career, when all others are fit, Casey is on the bench.

Sorry but disagree entirely.

Every time we lose it’s Critchley’s fault blah blah blah but it’s about time the players stood up and took some responsibility.

The only decent players we have on the books right now are loan players and without them (Rhodes goals) we would be punching around in the lower half of the league.

We’re supposed to have the 4th/5th biggest budget on the league yet we constantly under perform.

Yes I agree 100% Critchley isn’t the right man for this club and Sadler needs to ditch him but half this squad need to pull their socks up and battle like other teams players do and the other half need binning as their just not up to it.

If our defence is as horrid as you say, why do we constantly play the ball 40 yards back to it? If it’s orders the manager is culpable. If it’s not orders, it’s time he did something about it. Either way Critchknows.

I'd imagine cos there's nout ever ahead of them and it's to keep the ball which is the lesser of that or just booting it to our non moving impotent strikers. Let's not pretend though that our defence isn't anything but fcuking sh1t also.

Maybe more motivation but every side in league one seems to be more motivated than us.

You’re right, they were already time wasting at the start of the 2nd half and the referee let them get away with murder!
