15 league games this season in which we haven’t scored.

5 nil nil draws and 10 defeats without a goal. So much for attacking, entertaining football and the Blackpool way hey 🙄
17 wins in 41 is also a depressing one…

We’ve come from behind to win in 2 games… from behind to draw twice… 🚩

A hugely disappointing season, not just in terms of results but also entertainment. Critchley just isn't learning from his mistakes and if anything he's getting more stubborn. A big re-think is required because the club, on the playing side, is going backwards at an alarming rate.

The statement of ‘we want the right type of player at this club’ hasn’t aged well. From this season’s showing, they might be honest hard working lads, but we’ve a team without any fire in their belly, with no one driving them on or doing the nastier elements to makes sure we win a game.
The obsession with possession above all else needs to go too - there has to be a balance without constantly giving the ball away but also taking risks to get the ball forward , passes that don’t always come off but when they do, we’ve made good chances.
Under Critchley, everything is too ‘safe’.

We had the perfect opportunity to allow Rob Apter to play a part in this season and provide that different option off the bench or even to play his way into a must start.

But the formation is severely limiting and has ruined a few players seasons.

This is straight out of the Gareth Southgate handbook. I remember him saying about Saka at the Euro’s… he’s a brilliant footballer but more importantly he’s a brilliant young man. I couldn’t care less if he’s a ** I just want him to be good at football.

CJ Hamilton epitomises the above.

We’ve got a team who are far too soft, never kick off in games, never get on the ref’s case, point out fouls, ask for cards… never create issues. We’ve done it once all season for 45 mins v Pompey. In League 1 this will get you nowhere but bullied. Derby away a prime example. Adams made about 10 fouls and our lot just let him, never made a point to the ref or anything, yet when Dembele caught one of their players they were all round the ref.

That’s by design in my eyes and comes from our head coach who is exactly the same character. All too nice and doing the “right thing”… weak as piss.

Just like giving the lads who played the earlier rounds in the cup a go in a semi-final at home with Wembley on the line and not signing a striker over loyalty to what you have.

Having heard about Rob Apter’s personality and his belief in himself, it all makes sense as to why we let him go on loan…

There’s no way NC could handle someone chirpy asking him why he’s not playing or why he’s not being allowed to go into certain areas of the pitch etc. He’s too much of a maverick for Neil.

It’s a depressing stat.

We have looked toothless in so many of these games, even in games where we have won.

Shrewsbury away, good 2-0 win in the end but we were shite for most of that game and barely created anything.

It hasn’t been good enough as a whole and nowhere near where we want to be.

In a game with such high stakes yesterday, it was criminal to leave Dembele on the bench.

That’s exactly it - it’s the sort of thing I do with the school kids and team to make sure they’re all included and keep them all happy.

I don’t get the impression any of our players feel they have to improve and fight their way into the first team, as they’ll all get rotated etc or played to give them minutes as they’re all ‘worth’ the same.

You’re right with being too nice, it’s not got us anywhere and a few niggly characters etc wouldn’t go amiss. Look at players like Shearer, a decent bloke when not playing but aggressive on the pitch. Name one of our players you would call aggressive when playing?

Exactly why I was told he wanted Yates out and Joseph in…… the £500k difference was a bonus
