Does it really need explaining? No doubt some on here will find some excuse for the lack of outrage. On the other hand, somebody might raise a memorial in his honour, sorry it slipped my mind, he's not a criminal.Murdered just because he arrested his friend.
It states that 12 Police in the state of Georgia have died in the line of duty since the start of 2020.
Killer of Georgia officer was retaliating for arresting friend: police
Damien 'Luke' Anthony Ferguson, 43, was arrested Sunday for killing Dylan Harrison, 26, said the FBI .www.dailymail.co.uk
The question was "where is the public outrage?" a valid question I thought. And as far as my comment is concerned it was intended as sarcasm, not to be taken literally, And why shouldn't the reaction of the public toward the killing of a police officer doing his duty not be compared with that of a criminal?Man tasered for a traffic violation in a convenience store parking lot
Killer arrested
Not sure of your line of thinking here Dollar
Are you comparing it to the murder of George Floyd Jr
I see that Eagle Day has
12 police have been killed on active service in Georgia since January 2020
12 police officers have been killed on active service since 2006 in the U.K.
America is a different world
It’s a very sad way for someone to die and seems to be a ridiculous reason for anyone to kill anyone, albeit we don’t actually know what happened in the car park yet.... unless police camera footage is out there
It’s good that you are outraged but i’m not convinced that you are outraged for the right reasons
Maybe it’s more a question of the person who does the killing that causes the outrage? What type of person would have to be murdered by someone like the one who killed this copper for there to be an outrage?
A kid?
A nun?
A vicar?
Who?
All three for me. I'm offended by your gender and specific religion references. You should have said persons representing religion, thereby not identifying merely Christianity and excluding other religions and your reference to specific male and female roles is unacceptable therefore I'm outraged. What type of person would have to be murdered by someone like the one who killed this copper for there to be an outrage?

Saw that yesterday, can't argue with your comment on the face of this video. The trouble is I find it difficult to believe this kind of thing happens in a so-called civilised society (that's if you can consider the Yanks as civilised) and they're not set up for the benefit of social media. We see so many of these when people refuse to follow a request from the police, why didn't he show some ID instead of calling for people to "get down here with cameras to film what is goin' on"? The cops fell for it hook, line and sinker, idiots.Horrifying footage shows police dragging paraplegic man by his hair
‘I cannot step out. I’m a paraplegic,’ Clifford Owensby explained to police as they demanded he step out of his carwww.independent.co.uk
Seems like Damien shot the wrong feckin’ pigs
I just don’t get these situations. The Police were brutal - that’s unacceptable.Saw that yesterday, can't argue with your comment on the face of this video. The footage appears to be from police body cams.Saw that yesterday, can't argue with your comment on the face of this video. That’s exactly what he said. Several times. The police chose to ignore him.I just don’t get these situations. The Police were brutal - that’s unacceptable.
The driver refused to leave a vehicle he was able to get into and drive but unable to get out of?
As above, surely a sensible conversation of “I’m paraplegic, I need assistance getting out” etc would have been the response of anyone normally?
I'm not blaming the victim, Mex I just question why so many, not in this case on first appearance, are so quick to post unnecessary confrontations with the police and claim they are a victim. Yes, he said he was paraplegic but did he get in the car with or without assistance and the same goes for when he arrives at his destination. I'm afraid I have become very, very cynical with age. This question is of cause, were they a little concerned about getting a bullet in the gut?The footage appears to be from police body cams.
To suggest it was staged/set up for social media is nonsense.
Stop blaming the victim.
I've got to an age when I can get in a car much easier than getting out of itI'm not blaming the victim, Mex I just question why so many, not in this case on first appearance, are so quick to post unnecessary confrontations with the police and claim they are a victim. Know doubt we all come to an age that restricts what we do in a car that we found quite easy when young.I've got to an age when I can get in a car much easier than getting out of it
the car would have pedals just adapted with hand controls which the police would of been able to see but it would still have pedals my dad was paraplegic for over 40 years and he had 2 wheelchairs one he had in the car and one he used to get about with at home so he could wheel to his car on the drive then get in car leave chair on driveway and come to my house where i would get his chair out but you could tell from looking into the car it had hand controls so the police should of seen them too.Anyone driving a vehicle should be able to get out of it. Whether that’s by means of accessible equipment, an on board helper or being fully able themselves. If it’s not law it should be, for safety’s sake.
As far as the question over his disability, could the cops not tell from the car he was paraplegic? I.e. no pedals??
If at all!I have just watched the film by Steve McQueen called “12 Years a Slave”, with Chiwetel Ejiofor. It’s set about 170 years ago, but American society develops very slowly.
Apologies, mate, I meant no offence. Your correct, I haven’t had much experience with that kind of disability, but was actually thinking of the safety of the driver above anything else.the car would have pedals just adapted with hand controls which the police would of been able to see but it would still have pedals my dad was paraplegic for over 40 years and he had 2 wheelchairs one he had in the car and one he used to get about with at home so he could wheel to his car on the drive then get in car leave chair on driveway and come to my house where i would get his chair out but you could tell from looking into the car it had hand controls so the police should of seen them too.
as regards getting out of the car if he had no one with him and was stopped by the police he wouldnt have been able to get out without one of them getting his wheelchair out of the boot.
and saying if you cannot get out on your own you shouldnt drive then thats being very discriminating to disabled people.
its obvious you havnt been involved very much with the disabled community
if the driver needed to get out he would crawl out a lot of the para lads n lasses drive 2 door models and get in passenger side then transfer to drivers side and pull chair in to back seat through door that gives them their independance no offence taken mateApologies, mate, I meant no offence. Your correct, I haven’t had much experience with that kind of disability, but was actually thinking of the safety of the driver above anything else.
