2 games left

The writing was on the wall in the home match against Boro then 90th min defeat at Wigan and yesterday another awful half arsed performance where we never looked like winning !

We never looked like the "home" side yesterday. There was no exerted periods of pressure from us, no moments to raise the atmosphere, a depressing boring watch.

Well you have to hope we get something in the next two as both three with the arrival of Sheff Utd and the game on Sky could make it a pitiful sight.

I know Critchleys football was a bit dull at times and often lacked intensity and tempo and when Appleton came in a few were excited about the prospect of more attacking football but I can’t remember many games since probably the Hendry years where we failed to have a shot on target but under Appleton it’s becoming quite a regular occurrence. Really really worrying. Not to mention defensively we look shaky (and that’s putting it VERY lightly).

Wellens at Leyton Orient is top of the league, after keeping them up last season and is both the best team defensively and top goal scorers in the division. Schumacher at Plymouth has built an excellent team and they look fantastic despite being in what must be the most competitive division.
The Cowley brothers have a history of getting teams punching above their weight and may fancy another crack at the Championship. Portsmouth have some ownership issues and working for a more stable ownership may appeal - same goes for Robins at Coventry.
The lad sacked by MK Dons could be interesting too. He was hot property 6 months ago and is a young attack minded manager - in the Critchley mould too.

I'd have Wellens all day long

People forget the the great games we had at home under Critchley Preston and Bburn the latter where we was under pressure last 15mins and the crowd went to another level to get the Team across the line in what for me was probably one of the best games of the season with Tony Mowbray complimenting us !
Unfortunately we are miles away from these match days atm.

Fulham at home was also incredible. That team left everything on the pitch that day.

When you look back there was some incredible home games under Critchley but we move on and it never works 2nd time round with managers
I think Peterborough may well disagree with you ! But we have missed the boat unfortunately. There’s 4/5 managers I think that would work well with this existing squad, would be suited to the greater longer term project and should/could likely be brought to BR at a reasonable price. I just can’t fathom why Appleton is still here though. He’s failing on every possible measure of success.

Stop making out you are ITK it’s actually embarrassing 😂
That comment is actually my personal wish not ITK knowledge, although if he loses the next couple he’s gone for sure. You obviously have a bit of a thing for him though so each to their own.
Just for your info though, I do have some ITK stuff from time to time. Sorry if that upsets you.

Someone elsewhere, possibly Lytham? said it right earlier.

Assuming we're not being run as a farce, then there are only two real outcomes. Either he goes now or he's here for the season.

Whoever's in charge, they have to be given the window and beyond.

Upset? Not upset in the slightest. I don’t believe you.

We could be completely fucked. 1) keep Appleton and hope it turns round or 2) sack him and try and get someone decent in, they weren't exactly queuing up in the summer and now we're in the bottom three.

Oh and choice three is lob money at the transfer window, see point 2.

Yes of course. But whichever one is chosen they have to commit fully to it

I have faith in Sadler
Critch has got the QPR job.
Let’s give Appleton a while 🍊⚽👍
