Only from gaslighting extremists. Of course that's what they want us to think. It suits their despicable agenda. The irony is that those are exactly the beliefs that Hamas send out to the world: a hatred of the unalike. The same ideas that inform the intolerance of IS. They should be challenged and rejected everywhere we uphold the values of tolerance and the rule of law.

Western Europe has become a soft touch and this will continue as long as countries import terrorists

How many times do attacks like these need to happen with the open and receptive approach that Western European countries have?

Because (as with Israel and Gaza) it’s important to remember the violence is two way traffic. If a thread only addresses the violence coming from one direction it feeds into the narrative of hate that some people seem to be trying to promote.

And for clarity, I have no hesitation in condemning either the murders of the two Swedish football fans in Belgium or the murder of the 7 year old Muslim boy in the USA. Both are vile and contribute to the downward spiral that appears to be going on currently.

Correct, there isn't. That is why we countries need law enforcement and security agencies. Terrorists must be stopped and punished. However, if we were to start banning people from coming here and treating everyone who looks 'foreign' with suspicion, then the terrorists have won. Nobody ever said that democracy, liberty and tolerance are easy virtues for a society to uphold. However, they are important ones and we must defend them resolutely.

Well yeah Western European countries need to stop letting any fucker into the country, boats or not it's a massively risky strategy as proven by more senseless killings at the hands of an Islamic terrorist who was in Belgium illegally

Btw I see the BBC are calling this piece of filth a terrorist but still won't call Hamas terrorists
