Four in custody in Brussels and the investigation net widening. EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said "the corruption scandal currently rocking the European Parliament is very, very worrisome". The President of the European Parliament warns that European democracy is under attack. Some people actually want the UK to be governed by laws made by these criminals.

He was a corrupt Brexiteer MP that our own UK government tried to defend (and keep in post) - does your post above mean that the UK parliament is amoral?
The Michelle Mone situation looks very much like corruption that has taken place again in our domestic parliament (along with the other VIP contracts). Awarding honours to donors also looks very much like domestic corruption.
I know this looks like whataboutery, but it illustrates that where there is power there will be corruption either here or in the EU. All parliaments need systems to identify and deal with these people. I am not surprised that there is corruption in the EU parliament, just as I am not surprised that there is corruption in the UK parliament. IMO this EU case of corruption is not an adequate excuse to shrink our GDP by ~5%. as you seem to be implying
