We often have threads on the coldest match you've attended, well this was the exact opposite. The 2nd hottest day recorded in the UK , the hottest was the very next day . Making me sweat just watching that .

I didn't go to that game as I was playing in a league cricket match and scored an unbeaten hundred and then took 5 wickets. It was on of my best sporting days ever and the Pool result couldn't spoil it.

I went to that match and it was scorching. There was no mention of global warming at that time though

I don't consider 21deg being hot that's 70 farenhight (remember Wembley now that was hot around 38 Deg if my memory serves me well)(couldn't see playing in black would make that much difference !)

I tell you what I did get...... In the middle of the night, first cramp in the soles of my feet, then cramp in the hamstrings and to round it off shin cramps, all at the same time, I was screaming like a banshee!!!

We played in black when we played Doncaster on the 1st away game of the season (under Hendry I think?).
It was sweltering then, and we got hammered about 4-0.

That's just an excuse. Black clothing is actually cooler. It absorbs more external heat, but also wicks more heat from the body, especially if there's airflow, ie a breeze. In reality, there's virtually no difference.
