28 for Cardiff City

I don’t think anyone thinks they are better than anyone else just because they have a season ticket. But I agree it does make things easier in the long run, and cheaper. As for the clubs pricing policy Im not sure this is going to change anytime soon to be honest. But you never know.

£380 at Stockport and £375 at Grimsby 🙈

I think £359 is great value for a ST for Championship football.

However, we now have a hardcore base of 7,500-8,000 ST holders which has grown pre-Oyston chaos etc.

As others have said the Club now needs to focus on discounted rates for young adults and a membership scheme to get £5 off a game for those who can’t afford or aren’t going to attend every game. I’ve not paid attention but are we doing that thing where if you get a ST holder to get you a ticket it’s £5 cheaper still?

Many of the 16-25 might not be able to afford a ST or be interested in attending every game but will want to turn out for the bigger games, stick them in the East (North side) as they’ll add to the atmosphere. There’s very few seats left in the North now, for match to match attendees, they’ll want to be amongst it.

Being a ST holder does not make you a better fan than anyone, it just means you think it’s better value, saves the faff of getting tickets and means you have the same seat.

To be fair to the Club, it’s been a mad past 12 months, no fans etc, I get them wanting to maximise income from away fans but at the same time we do need to maximise our home support. It really does make sense to do this.
The discount scheme with a fiver off only works for the Cat A games down to £23.
B & C would mean 19 & 15 which is too cheap what would be the point of buying a ST at those price points.

I've never liked the Cat system from the off your either ripping off away fans or making a rod for your back by having to charge more for home games should have been one flat price but arguing about 3 or 4 quid more makes no sense if you want to attend either you can afford it or not .

Would like a discount for the under 25's. 👍

There’s a few... “I bought mine to support Simon”... “I’ll buy 4 but won’t attend a match”... it’s all virtue signalling.

Just do it for the Cat A games then 👍🏼 makes sense? We need to make it as cost efficient as we can for home fans and make as much as we can off away fans.

I get what you’re saying, but you have to factor in that some people won’t pay an extra £3 or £4? They’ll add it to the cost of their day and it’ll put them off. People like to feel they are getting a bargain. I’ve known people won’t drink or eat in particular places as it’s a few quid dearer or a pubs pint costs 60p more. I would pay it if I want to go but not every football fan is like that.

The world is an eclectic mix of characters and people, we only need to tweak a couple of things with the pricing structure and it will be spot on for Championship football, maximising our home support should be the priority.

I don't think it is virtue signalling. Some people see following their club as a way of life. Others just go when it suits them. I know which I'd be looking after.

I don't understand why an extra few quid "puts people off" either. Some of our exiles spend a fortune to just to get to games, and to be honest, if three or four quid makes s such a difference to you the question you should be asking is "can I really afford this?", not, "should the club do more for me"? You'd never take that attitude into a travel agent, would you?

No I wouldn’t, but I’ve known my mate book a holiday for someone for £35,000 and them then boot off for having to pay a £45 supplement. People like to feel they are getting value, I’m not saying they aren’t here and the reality is that everything has gone up in price, I just think if we can get CAT A games with a few quid off and offer discounted rates to 16-25 then we have sorted it.

Was that a holiday on the moon?

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 How much water rates, council tax, insurances fuel bills etc. does the average 18-year-old pay?
Not a lot, how much income does the average 18 year old get compared to the average 65 year old, subtract the bills from that and you get disposable income, my guess is the 65 year old has more in nearly every case.
