Hi Seasiders! I´m due to fly over to the UK from Portugal this Saturday, 20th.I´m fully vaccinated. I´ve just ordered a 2nd day antigen(lateral flow) test which should be deliverd to UK address tomorrow,Tuesday,16/11. I will have to take this test next Monday, 22nd. Have I done the right thing in ordering it now? Thanks in advance. Brazil.

Yes. You need to enter the test reference as part of the PLF you must complete within 48 hours of arriving in the UK.
Thank you Herts. I was just worried if I´d ordered this test too early. It should be delivered tomorrow to my brother´s address in the UK, where I´ll be staying. Thanks again!

Just to be clear , the PLF needs to be completed in the 48 hour period before your departure for the UK. Probably what you meant. You need to show it at the airport when departing for the UK.

The most difficult part of the Passenger Locator Form, is the Booking reference for the tests you bought, I have had the problem that the form expects a certain string of letters & numbers & sometimes they just wont work, so you may need to fib, (even tho you ACTUALLY have bought them) no one of any note actually checks the forms other than the check in desk of the airline, Ive not had to show it again when entering the UK, & when you do the test, no one other than you gets notified, its a sham, just to try & make it unappetising to travel.

You just need a string like RANDX2017723 the numbers are made up, & are never checked. but if you dont get the form to accept it, you cant continue & complete the form, & then CAN'T get on the plane, even if you have all the receipts etc, without the completed form, you are staying in Portugal...

So let me get this right. PLF is so entitled it has now introduced its own testing regime for anyone considering entering the gilded acres?

Completed day 2 test on Sunday, promised email confirming the result within 24 hours, nothing.
Expecting a knock on the door from the Covid police......not.
It's all a money making racket, £50 for two testing kits that cost coppers. All a load of bollox.
