At times against Reading, Jerry got closer to Gaz than an out and out winger, almost in the old inside left position, so we got a bit of joy because they were close enough to take advantage of the knock-downs and flick ons that Gaz won. That didn't happen so much in the 2nd half as Reading ran the show, so Jerry was helping out Thompson, who was starting to cramp up. I believe Jerry did well for Swindon on the left?
I'm looking forward to JG returning, so that Connolly (or Dougall) can protect the AM of Patoni and Fiorini. JG's absence cost us dear, as Stoke's midfield ran the first half and CC (otherwise one of my favourite players) allowed their winger the time and space to cross for the goals. So the 4 3 3 would possibly become a variation around 4 1 2 3 perhaps.
As for tinkering, I don't think MA would change a winning side, unlike Critch.
