Just looking at previous formations and over the years he's not scared or mixing formations.

With the current players that are fit and available if Marv injured we can't play 3 or 5 at the back.
 
Conolly or Williams, Husband, Thornily + Lyons and Thompson as wing backs?Then bring in another CB before the end of the month.
Could it work? Not sure to be honest
 
I wouldn't be surprised if MM initially looks at what worked for Critch and goes 442 with holding midfielders. Then builds from there. We still have a lot of those players.
