5 most depressing clubs

This girl's YouTube channel has 276k followers. She recently did a video about Sheff Wed being the most depressing club but she's revised her opinion and done a top 5. Hard to argue with no.1 really.

Oldham and Scunthorpe don't make the top 5 though. Surely they should?!

One of the best football youtube sites going. She does some really good stuff.

Oh and

Gillingham
Reading
Swindon
Colchester
Arsenal

I tend to rank visits to away matches on the basis of good pubs in the locality and other good things to do. So, 'soulless bowls' that require a bus journey to get to from any decent pub tend to be my version of depressing pubs.

there are exceptions:
Oxford is excellent and the bus journey is relatively cheap. The ground is crap but I'd go again because of the city. Err...that's it.

So, top 5 depressing clubs (alphabetically):

Chester City
Everton (despite the good pubs in Liverpool)
Reading
Sunderland
Wycombe Wanderers

She picked three of my current list. I'd not seen her stuff before, she comes across very well.
Really? I can't watch her. It's all very staged and pretentious for me. I wish she would just be herself rather than pretending to be a child television presenter.

And she's a Bolton fan.

Yes. I think it makes a change from lads talking half baked tactics tbh. 😉

Each to their own. At least she can string a couple of sentences together and clearly does a bit of homework.

My five, in no order :

  • Reading : in freefall, with a host of deeply unsuitable vultures circling
  • QPR : fourth best team in West London, skint, struggling
  • Sheffield Wednesday : an owner who has sold their prime asset - to himself, and appears unable to stave off relegation and worse
  • Stoke City : what's the point of having an owner who is richer than Croesus if you never take off the financial straitjacket?
  • Chelsea : owners who are out of their depth and gambling with the club's future - and given what might be round the next corner, you have to wonder whether it has one

The fact that you could also easily have chosen any five from Everton, WBA, Birmingham, Oldham, Crawley, Tottenham and Morecambe tells you all you need to know.

And what was all that hot food/no food nonsense? I switched off at that point.
I never watched this vlog. Her stuff often pops onto my YouTube feed and I've tried but just cannot get over the pretence of it all.

But no doubt it will serve her well. The Beeb or Sky will take notice of her pretend roving reporter Vlogs at some point.

1. PNE
2. PNE Reserves
3. PNE Women
4. PNE Academy
5. PNE U18
And, if the list was then to be extended to incorporate the remaining 5 teams which make up the 10 most depressing sides to be found in the English football pyramid, may I propose the following additions:

6. PNE U16
7. PNE U14
8. PNE U12
9. PNE Pre-pubescents
10. PNE Kiddie-winkles

Just wonder what qualifications she has to judge what are the most depressing clubs
If she was going to do some proper research then maybe visit all 92 league clubs and put a proper perspective on it.
Also, we know how fickle football supporters are so obviously if a club is in a slump thenthe supporters will moan.
I’ll bet our very Allez was engrossed in the video when she mentioned food though.

Rotherham are just us, struggling to sustain a position in the Champ on limited resources and dropping down to league 1 as a result. Their turn is next May.

On Stoke, the owner is probably a bit busy running a business in an industry which, per Paul Merson’s documentary, results in one suicide per day. Stoke City fans must be so proud they funded 10 years of anti football in the EPL and a Cup Final appearance.

I think you're maybe taking it all a bit too literally, and too seriously? There isnt a scientific approach that will establish the most depressing clubs. For starters!

I think the hot food/cold food/no food thing was about the sense of entitlement of some fans. Especially those who support clubs in the higher leagues. But I suspect you knew that .

Obviously she hasn’t done loads of research. Across every league. And we all have an opinion and can all suggest even more depressing clubs.

But overall I think it was quite entertaining. Which is what social media is supposed to be about after all.

Chill dudes.

Can I assume, like myself, you have an ex down that neck of the woods who is a complete and utter grade A c**t? 🤣 Mine also supports them… Or did, when they played us! C**t!
Nope they are just a dour, miserable arse club with fans who look like they howl at the moon

Well yes, I sort of knew what she was on about but she pursued it for so long I really did start to glaze over.
