5th September

So UK plc is in a mess, the Brexit agreement needs work for NI, people's cost of living is skyrocketing, energy forecast to get worse, COVID still a live issue, may pay agreements to be worked on, NHS struggling.

And the selfish Tory Party have hamstrung the country until 5th September

All I've read on here for months is we need to get rid of the whopper Boris it happens and the Tories are selfish!
It couldn't have happened at a better time parliament shuts down for seven weeks next Friday.

I am delighted the corrupt man baby has gone. However, he should have stood down, with a temporary PM to keep the country actually running. I would have thought that wasn't too difficult to grasp. I can't envisage a top PLC running without a functioning CEO or Chairman for 2 months whilst they talk to the shareholders.

I still don't see the issue it's summer recess next Friday where stuff all gets done and you normally get different people from the cabinet answering the phone each week whilst everyone else is on holiday.

Don’t worry. The Civil Servants will keep the Man Baby in line while the Tory Party goes through the “democratic” process of selecting the new PM to lead us forward to the promised green sunlit uplands.

The good news is candidates have to formally declare by tomorrow evening and need at least 20 Tory MP backers before they can stand. And at least 30 on the first ballot. Which I think is on Wednesday rapidly followed by the second ballot on Thursday. Which leaves Priti dithering about whether to put her name forward (does she have 20 admirers?) and Suella feeling a bit sick.

I can’t do much about it so am just going to enjoy the bunfight. And watching the various Egos meet reality and crash and burn.

Are you serious? With all the issues listed above, you think senior ministers will be swanning off on 7 weeks holiday, rather than looking after the UK.

Shows what the ruling class thinks is really important

If the evidence of who he has appointed is true, they need to put him in a straightjacket

This might come as suprise to you in a democracy when Parliament is shut there is fuck all that can be passed.
Of course there will be people holding the fort it happens every summer whoever is in charge.

Or just don't let any of the MPs have a holiday.👍

The current evidence is that the Government doesn't worry about getting anything through Parliament, they just get it through the Billionairre Press barons. They could have sold off Jersey to the Russians by the time September comes.

Apart from the one with legendary manners as education, the idea of appointing someone currently under investigation by the HMRC to run the Treasury doesn't give me a good feeling 🙁
Oh him. The Chancellor? That’s old news.

I’ve reported loads of people to the National Crime Agency. Nowt to be worried about there. They are completely under resourced with decrepit IT and have been for years (including when they were NCIS and SOCA).

As for HMRC well we’ve been assured he’s never had a beneficial interest in the overseas trust so why should we disbelieve him?

Are these the same Civil Servants who were whooping it up during lock down with parties lasting all night in some cases by the sound of it. We can all therefore relax and know we are in good safe hands.

Of course they'd be swanning off on holiday for seven weeks. Was it raab who couldn't drag himself away from the sun lounger last year when some other shit storm was going on

I saw Martin Lewis today trying to get the message through that by the time they've decided which liability is going to be chief Liability, OFGEM will have set the next cap, with no one in Government working out how to get an immediate safety net in place.

So none of the Mp's will be swanning of on holidays?
FFS they've got families from whatever party they represent let them have some time off.

Except that Government business continues unabated.

Which AVFTT poster was/is responsible for the manner of Boris's departure as PM ?

Asking on behalf of Mex.

It’s common - CEOs often stay on to help find and even embed their successor.

Only 6 candidates remain.
Next time, Liz Truss promises Rees Mogg a new double breasted suit from ‘John Collier’ if he continues with his support.
