61 for me & it only seems like yesterday as a 17 year old being told the advantages of the civil service including the final salary pension. "Pension, that's for old people" Whoooosh

congratulations...........im still at it(work)..well past 60
I was 64 last week, but retired at 60 after 39 years in Local Government. Best decision I ever made (after getting married, of course!)

Retired from my Career at 60 and fully retired at 65.
Have no regrets on retiring early to enjoy all the benefits of freedom.
As long as you are healthy and have planned for a decent pension/savings , some of the best years lie ahead.

AVFTT is like a social club for retired Civil Servants. Not complaining as I'm one as well!
Retired at 59 after 42 years working for the Government - then I got a proper job!

Taken my wife out for a coffee at her favourite coffee shop.. Farrer’s in Kendal.. then lunch out... spending the evening with my 3 favourite passions in life..Have a fabulous birthday

... in me head I’m still as quick( when chasing the cattle) .. trouble is the old legs can’t keep up and down I go... still manage to throw in an extra half yard before impact... to ensure I land in the box... old habits die hard
