69/70 attendance

Us with the highest attendance of all the NW clubs in the second tier sounds about right. Brighton averaging almost 15k in division three shows you the potential they are now realising.

Always been impressed with Plymouths support, would love to see them come up and do something like Brighton have done, they have a similar potential I think.

I went to the Goldstone for our final game of the 77/78 season. That was the last time I was part of a 30,000+ gate watching Blackpool until we went to Maine Rd on the first day of the season when Man City were in the third tier, 1999?

makes interesting reading that, sunderland the second lowest in the first divison, chesterfield with an average of over 10,000 in the fourth division.

Yes, since I started around 94 that Man City game was my first "big crowd experience", I just stared at the Kippax and that huge block of temporary seating to the left of us. Was more exciting than the game.
