80mins then we started playing

We bossed the whole of the 2nd half. Fair enough we only really pushed in the last 10(+5) but better that than gifting them a 2nd. Credit where it is due, we would have taken a draw at kick off and certainly half time, and that is what we got/deserved. Had the ref not been so inept, there is every chance we'd have won.

Sooner or later he will trust Dembele for that Carey starting role, but I don’t think he will contemplate that away from home as it puts way too much pressure on the two remaining centre midfielders.
Also OB did ok, but he’s not as strong as Norburn in the tackle or covering ground.

I can though see a home game not too far away with Dembele in the 8 with Kenny and Norburn covering.

First half was shit first ten of second half shit last half an hour probably as good as we’ve played all season we had the team who we too of the table camped on their own box for 25 minutes.

In answer to the op, being at the game we were miles better for the majority of the 2nd half and I'd have been utterly aggrieved had we not got that equalizer.

Disagree. I think the midfield was over run and it took players going off, Carey and OB, and Weir and Morgan and also Dembelle coming on to change things. We just looked so slow until the changes happened - around the 80min mark
Weir coming on? What game were you watching?

Got to agree with Long-Shanks ; Pool were Pants for about 80 mins. Not one shot on goal up to that point. Sad to say, but I thought that Oxford decided to defend their lead rather than add to it with 10 mins to go. They gifted the midfield to Pool who took full advantage, helped by a couple of handy subs ( Dembele and Morgan). Given time and space, Morgan can pick a pass, but he was virtually unchallenged as he sprayed the ball about. Dembele is a real live wire, and Oxford had no clue how to handle him, so unused were they to having to deal with someone like that for the previous 80 mins. For a very long time, that was a grim watch.

We got so much better with the introduction of the subs, they all did what they are good at. I really don't see how Carey can start the next game when we have Morgan, Weir and Dembele who all offer more in the same position.
Credit to Husband for the assist that was a brilliant headed cross.

can’t really add much to what’s been said, i thought we did well against a half decent Oxford team and we restricted them as much as they restricted us. The subs definitely changed the game in our favour.

Walking back to the car listening to the home lot they appeared to be happy with a point except one who was blaming the ref hahaha.
