Something appears to be going between him and the club. Assuming he's still being paid then he’s still our player until sold then he should be selectedSo what happens if Kenny doesn't sort out his work permit or visa or whatever it is preventing him from playing for us at the moment? Does he come back in to the side?I still don't get why, as we are paying him, that you wouldn't carry on utilising his talents?
Is that in Thailand? It closes on 1 Feb in England at 11pm.Thai transfer window closes on Friday
(And having some experience of the Thai visa process … he ain’t getting that done in five days …)
Yes, Thailand specificallyIs that in Thailand? It closes on 1 Feb in England at 11pm.
Maybe his fiance requested a brief cameo to feature in her latest upload.Even stranger, he came on for 3 mins in recent bsm game without a warm up! Only time we have seen him in 6 weeks!
Head scratcher?
He came on to replace Oakley-Boothe who was injured. Straight swap in midfield, and it explains the lack of the warmup.Even stranger, he came on for 3 mins in recent bsm game without a warm up! Only time we have seen him in 6 weeks!

If the club are receiving a fee for him they may not want to risk injury, and are working on the premise that if he’s going anyway they may as well prepare for that. its not the first time we’ve done that.So what happens if Kenny doesn't sort out his work permit or visa or whatever it is preventing him from playing for us at the moment? He's been training. Seen him on some of the club videosNo doubt he won’t be fit if he does return.
I’m assuming he’s not even training as well?
We don't know do we?Why are we still paying him - presumably we are??
I'm pretty sure Dougall isn't training with us currently. He packed his bags last week to go somewhere and wasn't back home as of yesterday with the soon to be Mrs Dougall. He's been training. Seen him on some of the club videos
Because he has a contract. Why are we still paying him - presumably we are??
Exactly he didn't need to come on if he was replacing Oakley boothHe came on to replace Oakley-Boothe who was injured. Straight swap in midfield, and it explains the lack of the warmup.
The Gazette did an article where they said that he was leaving and they were just trying to sort out the last few issues before he went.Sorry have I missed something? Is he definitely leaving and do we know where to?
Which he is not fulfilling.Because he has a contract.
Fairly certain Critchley basically said he's leaving last week and hoped the "situation would be wrapped in the next few days"]Sorry have I missed something? Is he definitely leaving and do we know where to?
We are. He played those 4 mins so must be contracted. We don't know do we?
Realistically how much are a Club in Thailand going to pay in a fee? This has been going on since mid Nov, so that's 9, maybe 10 weeks. Assuming the player was on 4k it could be 40k in wages paid by BFC plus NI. For it to be worthwhile we'd have to get a fee well into Burnley dwellers fingers (6 didgets) to make what we've done right. If the club are receiving a fee for him they may not want to risk injury, and are working on the premise that if he’s going anyway they may as well prepare for that. its not the first time we’ve done that.
We don't what's been agreed for the interim period. If he hasn't fulfilled the full terms of the contract the club may have agreed something else with him. Maybe, maybe not. It's an internal HR situation innit? I suspect he'll have been paid if he's trained and made himself available for selection, but might not have if and when he hasn't.We are. He played those 4 mins so must be contracted.
I think the club might have been holding out for a fee possibly from somewhere in Eng and there would be an issue regarding registration ownership had we stopped paying him.We don't what's been agreed for the interim period. For what it's worth, the club he's been linked to, Buriram United, are by far the most successful team in the league (won the league 5 times of the last 6 seasons, according to Wikipedia), they play in a 32k seater stadium, and are ranked about 90 places higher than Blackpool in the world club rankings.Realistically how much are a Club in Thailand going to pay in a fee? IMO his contract should have been terminated by mutual consent or if the player wouldn't accept that, then he should have got off his skis and pulled a shirt on.
I doubt that. There is surely a clause in player contracts to cover what happens if they make themselves unavailable for training or matches, and registration wouldn't be affected by that, I wouldn't have thought. I'm not an employment lawyer though.I think the club might have been holding out for a fee possibly from somewhere in Eng and there would be an issue regarding registration ownership had we stopped paying him.
Yeah. On transfer market they say they have some quite valuable players, so may be a fee in it? They can probably afford one, but is the players worth much? For what it's worth, the club he's been linked to, Buriram United, are by far the most successful team in the league (won the league 5 times of the last 6 seasons, according to Wikipedia), they play in a 32k seater stadium, and are ranked about 90 places higher than Blackpool in the world club rankings.
He isn't moving to play in a rice paddy in front of some farm animals.
I suppose who initiated it would have an impact??I doubt that. There is surely a clause in player contracts to cover what happens if they make themselves unavailable for training or matches, and registration wouldn't be affected by that, I wouldn't have thought. I'm not an employment lawyer though.
I expect Kenny will have told the club his situation and plans, that he needs some time out to work on his plans, and the club then decides how to deal with that. The decision might be not to quibble over a month's pay. He is after all, King Kenny Left Foot Right Foot Dougall.Yeah. I doubt we'll ever know the truth.I expect Kenny will have told the club his situation and plans, that he needs some time out to work on his plans, and the club then decides how to deal with that. I thought that might of been a ‘get on with it’ or we will drag you in for things like this nudge from the club.Even stranger, he came on for 3 mins in recent bsm game without a warm up! Only time we have seen him in 6 weeks!
Head scratcher?
We don't need to.I doubt we'll ever know the truth.
On most occasions I'd agree, but this seems a bit mickey taking out of fans, some who adored the player. Those idi...fans deserve to know.We don't need to.
I adored him but it is what it is. He wants to move on in his life. There's no conspiracy. The club doesn't owe us all the details. On most occasions I'd agree, but this seems a bit mickey taking out of fans, some who adored the player. Those idi...fans deserve to know.
Whichever way it's a dog's dinner of handling the situation. Neither party do themselves any favours.
I don't know. One of the most senior players at the Club suddenly stops playing because he needs a rest, then personal issues and now wants away.I adored him but it is what it is. He wants to move on in his life. There's no conspiracy. The club doesn't owe us all the details.
We know what needs to be known. He wants to move away. Fans now seem to want to have details of everything that goes on. You buy a ticket to watch games. That's it, that's the deal.I don't know. One of the most senior players at the Club suddenly stops playing because he needs a rest, then personal issues and now wants away.
Of course fans deserve to know, or at least a credible explaination not a piss take. We pay our ST money over.
Fanboy!!We know what needs to be known. He wants to move away. Fans now seem to want to have details of everything that goes on. You buy a ticket to watch games. That's it, that's the deal.
No it isn't. You buy into a culture, a lifestyle, not a tin of beans. The Club NEEDS that from the fans. A blind loyalty that surpasses logic. We know what needs to be known. He wants to move away. Grow up!Fanboy!!
Complete nonsense that, sorry! No it isn't. You buy into a culture, a lifestyle, not a tin of beans. The Club NEEDS that from the fans. A blind loyalty that surpasses logic.
On this issue, whether a kiss and tell is right, taking the piss isn't.
