A Cancer Story - Please Donate

In 2018, my brother in law was diagnosed with bowel cancer, and following surgery, he was given the all clear. More recently, he has been told that the cancer has come back with a vengeance and he has only several months to live. His name is Kevin, a lifelong Seasider, who is 58 and lives in Blackpool.

In view of this, we, his family, have decided to walk from Weston super Mare FC (near where we live) to Blackpool FC, which is approx 212 miles. We’re doing this as a relay across week commencing 12 April, to raise money for MacMillan Cancer and Trinity Hospice, Blackpool.

Although this sponsored walk has been planned for a while, Covid restrictions had put things on hold. However, owing to Boris’s recent lockdown easing announcements, and the fact that Kev’s condition is deteriorating, we felt it was important that we undertook the walk while he was still with us.

We would be very grateful if you could support this initiative and make a donation via one, or both, of the following links.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Just bumping this for Somerset and hopefully get one or two more donations like I have just done.
It’s a heart breaking story and like all cancer deaths it takes our loved ones all too early.
I lost my mum to Bowel cancer at just 45 years of age (I was only 16) and my best friend died just over 12 months ago he was just 63, again to Bowel cancer.
Give your brother in law my highest regards Somerset. 👍
