Not sure if this has already been mentioned but I just saw it on twitter. Coventry's current manager Mark Robins walked out on them after half a season for a better opportunity in 2013. He went on to have 2 bad spells at 2 other clubs. He then returned to Coventry in 2017, got them promoted from league 2 via the play offs, got them promoted from league 1 via winning the league, won the EFL trophy, and has now taken them to the championship play off final.

Just some food for thought. It's been done before.

That’s a fair point to be honest - and he’s done the bulk of that under SISU’s ownership.

This article more than any other has made me think again.

Some managers seem to fit certain clubs and I’ve always believed Critchley suits us and that he’d be back here again at some point down the line.well that’s now so let’s get behind him and the club.
Even Critchley has said that - walked in and felt at home. Can imagine Appleton walked in and thought 'FFS not this place again' and McCarthy walked in and felt he had a bad smell under his nose. Critch is definitely the right fit.
