A Special Group!!!

So says Critchley, really can't see it myself, I can see a bunch of cowards and players who regularly go missing.
I've been lucky to witness some fantastic BFC squads that really were special, that had the heart to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in when the going got tough.
I can use a few terms for this group, but definitely not special

When a manager has to come out and tell you not to question the group or that they are a special group, it's usually because theyre not.

There is no leader to get the team going and driving them on.

It says volumes when you get to the last 10 minutes and you sub off the captain.
It's not just one leader, we have had teams in the past full of leaders and characters, but this lot are as dull as the rest of the club, Sadler, Crichley, the Thompson Twins, the backroom staff and the players, a more insipid bunch you couldn't wish to meet.

We need an Ian Evatt, a Michael Jackson, a Shaun Barker, a Charlie Adam, a Brett Ormerod, a Keith Southern, an Andy Morell, who out of our current bunch have anything about them? O'Donnell? Hubby? That's it.
I hope I'm not going to come across as sounding a bit desparate here, when I put forward, as my own suggestion, someone whose name could, quite fittingly, be added to that impressive list of worthies, but could the name of Sylvester Stallone (and I'm thinking here of the film Escape to Freedom) not be considered as a possible addition to that illustrious list of personalities?

If we had any leaders they’d have questioned the manager by now but instead we’ve got a squad of yes men who are happy to go out every away game and play the same tactics that lead to us losing with no shots on target

I’m not sure about that. We’ve definitely had and still have players that have made their feelings known. Trouble is, Critchley doesn’t like that, and that’s why you see players frozen out. It started with Jerry. I’m sure Grimmy and Kenny won’t have been quiet, and perhaps Lyons.

As a manager I’d want players knocking down my door and fighting to play. Sadly, he seems to value players that are grateful to play, the likes of Connolly and Virtue. Seriously, he gave Virtue a new contract after the injury, whilst happily letting Ward go. I’m not saying we should have kept Ward, but Virtue has delivered nothing in how many years with us.
