I see they are building Blackpool's First Taco Bell on Rigby road. Can't say I have had one, neither here or in the good old USA. Anyone any experience to share on this eatery?
This will last and be popular.Remember Cllr Wynne opened up a Mexican restaurant back in the early 90's on Abingdon st, didnt last long.
I'll stick to prawn cocktail, steak & chips at the local Bernie Inn. you'll probably have to google that. This will last and be popular.
Will be a be a drive through, but presumably eat in too.
The palate of the population has changed a lot since the 90's.

Black Forest gateaux for pud ?I'll stick to prawn cocktail, steak & chips at the local Bernie Inn. you'll probably have to google that.
I’m not really a sweet person but occasionally I still find the odd proper BFG (cake not giant) Not the spongy lightweight rubbish with spray cream but the heavy moist ones with cherries & a little cream. I’m surprised they aren’t still popular. Mmmm just to dispel my penchant for steak & chips, that was then. Tonight we’re going for a delicious Thai. Fantastic & will taste even better if we manage something at Borough today.Black Forest gateaux for pud ?
Prefer chicken in a basket myselfI'll stick to prawn cocktail, steak & chips at the local Bernie Inn. you'll probably have to google that.
Scampi in a basket for me Or the height of 70s sophistication a cheese fonduePrefer chicken in a basket myself
Now we're talking. Where do I park for that one?Might not be such a positive for Blackpool then, more ammo for the media to hammer us regarding their preception of the armpit of England. What about a bread and dripping drive through.
US stuff is usually unhealthier than the UK equivalent. We call it Taco Hell here, you are right dog meat at its best.
What’s a taco?
I think I know, but I’ve never had one, nor have I ever had a kebab

Indeed. It's always surprising how AVFTT is full of high quality food connoisseurs who would neve touch any fast food.
Nah bit of tangerine flan with Carnation milk on it.Black Forest gateaux for pud ?

Isn't that really TexMex?....pedantic head on.I see they are building Blackpool's First Taco Bell on Rigby road. Can't say I have had one, neither here or in the good old USA. Anyone any experience to share on this eatery?
That's a bit insulting to TexMex. When I lived in Arizona I always preferred FilibertosIsn't that really TexMex?....pedantic head on.
No insult intended, I really don't know...just guessing. That's a bit insulting to TexMex. When I lived in Arizona I always preferred Filibertos
No problem I was just messing with youNo insult intended, I really don't know...just guessing.
I'm interested in good food world-wide so, if you have any proper Mexican or Tex-Mex recipes, I'd be receptive. No problem I was just messing with you
In my experience Taco Bell is to Good TexMex food what McDonalds is to fine dining so if peo
Having said that, so is most TexMex food in the UK so if people think Chiquito is decent they may enjoy Taco Bell

Black forest gateau to follow.I'll stick to prawn cocktail, steak & chips at the local Bernie Inn. you'll probably have to google that.
Yep the youtube reviews I've seen suggested it was nice, so probably far better than the shite served up in the States etc.Well, we have one in Teesside and I was really reluctant to go because the only previous time I'd had one was somewhere in the NE of America in my way back from a field trip in Autumn 1995 - it's one of a very few items of food I've spat out.
Honestly, was like how I would imagine dog food would taste. Absolute slop.
Fast forward 25 years+ and TSSJr3 wanted to go; so I took him earlier this year and had to physically calm myself to eat a meal.
Tbf it was much better and decent value. Taco, Quesadilla, fries, some churros and a drink for about the same price as a large Big Mac meal.
Did a road trip all over Arizona 20 years ago, after visiting the Mission San Xavier del Bac near Tucson, we had the most delicious Tamales from a stall outside run by a mix of Native Americans/ Mexicans. Mashed beef brisket, chilli, softened corn husk, wrapped with Masa, then steamed, great food, so many variations of excellent Mexican food. Loved it.,
experienced Taco Bell whilst living in AZ, it's OK but has about as much resemblance to genuine Mexican food as a 99p microwaveable burger from Aldi does to fine din
Let's just say if I was one of the first 100 customers and got a free Taco, I'd consider it overpriced
