A win can change everything

It’s not been great, granted. But there a plenty of games left this season and a win can change everything. I’m sure MM and the players are not giving up this fight and neither should we as fans.

It’s still tight down at the bottom and Swansea are there for the taking on Tuesday.

Last two games, it’s been frustrating not to win in either but at least we didn’t let either team beat us and it’s something we can build on.

I love your "glass half full" positivity pal, but I've seen nothing since MM arrival that leaves me with any confidence we can turn this around and keep our Championship status this season, the performances have been dour and lacking creativity and in my view you need to be braver and go out and attack teams like we did successfully last season.

Totally agree apart from Tuesday. It's Wednesday.

I get what you saying but like I say it just takes that one win and it can all change. Trying to stay positive.

I agree that you have to stay positive, but it's not easy watching that dross served up by MM's tactics.

Take Wigan for example, since Maloney came in they played really well and deserved their draw away at Blackburn then go and beat relegation rivals Huddersfield, as a fan of them you will have real hope that the team will stay up based on performances and results the team has achieved.

Sadly we cannot say the same thing, but as you say we live in hope.

Completely agree, we as fans can be completely irrational at times, I think it was about four weeks ago people on here were genuinely saying ' oh could we make a push for the palyoffs'. Yeh, really.

As you say cannot argue its been pretty poor all season. For how turgid it's been, to me, it does seem like Mick's put a bit of steel into them, for what ever that's worth.

If we can get a win at Swansea, sounds quiet far fetched but they've been a dog after the W/C break and if you look at Hudds Wigan & Cardiff's midweek fixtures we could easily be out of the relegation zone.

Thursday morning I wouldn't be surprised to see, ' well you know if we put a run together are the playoffs out of reach' 😆.

Miles to go in this yet, management and players have the biggest role to play, but we have a huge part to play in it all, support like Saturday at each home game from now to the end and we've got more than a puncher's chance. 👍

I totally agree that a win can change everything. 2 extra points from Saturday would have seen us out of the bottom 3 and how good would that have looked and felt.

However we have just played 2 of the poorest Championship teams I’ve seen in a long time, at home, and we didn’t win either of them (I will obviously add the caveat that we only had 10 against Hudds for half a game) so where is that 1 win going to come from?

I’m actually stunned when I look at the league table and, given our form, we aren’t totally adrift at the bottom already. Which makes me think there are some really poor teams in this division which gives slight hope that we might get out of it yet.

Agree with that, it does feel like MM has put a bit of steel into them.

Huddersfield could have been a different story if we had kept 11 men on the pitch and Rotherham were a horrible team to play against and you knew they would be happy to take the point.

Let's roll onto Wednesday and get a scrappy win. It will come.
