Accrington test event with supporters

Also,
If all goes to plan with the test event, the first game with the new maximum number of fans will be the EFL Trophy group stage game at home to Blackpool on October 6, with season ticket holders again taking priority.

Capacity for the Blackpool game would be 1,535, but clearly for home fans only. But it is a step forward.

If I've read this correctly it's an Accrington Stanley only test event on 26th september?

What I'm trying to say is this isn't a government mandated iniatiive and there is no reason other clubs (Blackpool at their first home league game in september for example) doing a similar event to get fans in for October?

They are assuming that as had been indicated, a partial reopening will be allowed from October, and so are planning in accordance with that. On the same basis, most clubs will be preparing for their first home match in October to allow restricted numbers back. Nothing really to do with the EFL, trophy or anything, it's when the government says they can re-admit fans.

You'd have thought that the government would have contacted Nob End to ask how their reduced crowds policy works, as they've been playing in front of socially distanced crowds for years😁😁😁

SSN were reporting about Accy as if it was going to be some sort of special test event. But who knows what will happen, things will probably change by then yet again anyway.

The ironic thing with the Acc game is I doubt they'd have got that many home fans in to an EFL Trophy first round game anyway (and that's no detriment to them - I'd say the same about us based on last season's crowds).
