AFC Fylde v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 26.07.22

I honestly don’t know what your problem is you gobshite but I didn’t expect saying Covid would be considered controversial. Generally speaking I’m a young healthy bloke yet despite that I’ve been hit for six. I’m trying to do what I feel is right by other people (and especially my family) by not attending games and therefore passing anything on until I test negative. Each to their own with regards to what they do, but that’s my stance. You’re the only one that felt the need to go out of your way to make an issue. I truly hope you nor anyone you love are impacted by this as it has the potential to be nasty.
I do however hope you get cock rot because you’re a bit of a bellend.
Cock rot! That’s made me laugh, get well soon

Tonight's game showed up the same problems for me, especially the lack of goals and creativity from midfield. Yates and Lavery are getting very little amunition from the middle of the park and I can't see any midfielder scoring even five goals this season. Could be a real problem for us.

Yeah but also only Dougall wasn't it in midfield, the rest wingers, no Connolly, no Fiorini, no Virtue, no Anderson, obviously no Stuart... so a lot of our creative players weren't in.

But there's no doubt we do still need to improve in creating chances.

I didnt go last night so I had to rely on tweets and now your blog.
Looking at the line-up clearly there was going to be very little offered from mid-field. I've seen Dale in that position already and I know it doesn't work. I'm assuming we played 4-4-2?
The early criticism of Appy is that he's trying to fit too many players into roles that don't suit them and you can put Rob Apter at the top of that list.
@20togo made a good point about this when he was putting me straight the other day. He pointed out if Apter was as good as I thought he was why hadnt Appy played him in correct position. I had of course already wondered that myself and I can't see why he doesn't give him a chance ahead of under-performing players higher up the field.
I'm not sure what the starting 11 should be on Saturday, it probably depends on whether we get another RB in.

Yeah, it was 442 with Dale trying to ping it about and more often than not failing...

This is not China, or Russia, the truth will be heard. Even if not acknowledged by some.
*Man making light hearted remark about Gary Madine likened to murderous dictatorship shocker!*

You're either in club Gaz or you're outside looking envious.
