AJ vs Usyk

Very interesting contest. The bookmakers naturally will have AJ massive favourite but Usyk is absolute class and could pick AJ apart. Very much looking forward to watching this one.

No chance Usyk will win. Brilliant fighter (far better than AJ) but the weight difference is massive and if Usyk bulks to try and bridge the gap, he'll slow down

It's only delaying the inevitable defeat to Fury for AJ regardless.
Fury is good, but beatable and talks absolute rubbish.

Never has defended a belt, messed aj about for their fight for months, his side knew what was going on while hearn flew round the world sorting it, all their side did was laugh and snipe thinking he wouldn't be able to pull it off in a pandemic, he did.

They then bailed with the unheard of arbitration ordering the fight, there's some shady stuff in boxing, he then has his fight booked with Wilder in just a day or so after not being able to complete the aj fight in months. Amazing.

Now hes gor covid despite having had a jab, fight pushed back 4 months!! What.

Ticket sales were awful and there was little interest for the 3rd fight..... Footballers are fine in a week or so but fury has to wait months? He was pictured out the day before the test reault laughing and joking, so can't be bad.

I don't believe a word of his side. His dad who previously said covid was a lot of bollocks is now obviously changing his tune. His dad also isn't the tough guy made out, those videos of him getting laid flat twice by nobody's when he was younger, his chin looked weak and fury has a similar chin.

When they fight if they ever do and aj catches him he's gone. Aj is too big to dance around all night and too fast. Too strong up close to hug also. Hell walk fury down and make it a brawl.

When they sparred when aj was just an amateur aj gave him a hiding. Fury likes to say he's just a big pumped up bodybuilder but he knows really he'd have his work cut out.

Fury beat wilder well, but wilder has no inside game, whereas ajs most devastating kos have been uppercuts.

Aj all th way for me. The only guy actually looking for the fights, other top 2 hold up the division messing about.

Agree AJ knockout within 6 rounds or Usyk on points if it goes beyond halfway
I dont think necessarily he wins on points either, aj can box well as the Parker fight proved, he'll have a decent reach advantage, height advantage, more power.

Can't see anything but an aj win....

It's a good read but clearly your just an AJ fan. Fury has fought everyone in their own back yards.

Fury is undefeated. In my mind Fury is just so good for his incredulous size. He is a master boxer and for me would (if it ever happens) inflict a very slow and routine beating of AJ. I like AJ a lot so whoever would win isn't really a concern. Just my honest opinion.

I also think, size differences included, Usyk is a massive challenge for AJ. Usyk is one of the most incredibly skilled boxers in the world. And whilst he might be a cruiserweight, he can bang, and is deadly accurate.

I am but call what I see and fury and wilder have been messing about for ages now. People said when the first one happened and they claimed aj didn't want to fight them, that they would have many fights planned and so it turned out.

Fury won't be able to do what he did to Wilder to AJ the second fight hell have to go back to tippy tippy jabs imo.

I think Wilder was off that night, a flawed boxer anyway, but there's definitely some weird shenanigans about cancelling their latest fight, maybe fury wasn't ready.

When you say he fought everyone its mainly just Vlad and Wilder. Still great but not like he's gone through everyone.

Vlad was confused and still negative. It wasn't until the last round he realised to go for it and had success. He was pumped for the rematch and fury pulled out. Well never know but going off that last round the rematch wouldn't have been so lacklustre.

Again with AJ fury can dance around and ticke his way into the lead, but when he gets caught on the ropes or inside AJ doesn't let you hold and with such a big target if the heads not available the body gets worked and slows him. He will need to make sure he doesn't gas out of course.

But its a fight I see aj winning by big ko.

Looking at who wants the fight fury doesn't seem to want it as much, they either knew about the arbitration and it was the plan all along to build of ajs profile which is what fury and wilder have always done to increase the fights, or it took months for them to not get the fight over the line yet gor it on with wilder in 1 day.

Just seems a big fishy to me.

Its annoying because its a fight we all want to see and have opinions on and AJ clearly wants, (maybe fury does but is led by he weird team) but is being let down as are the fans by boxing politics or games.

I’m no expert I can only say what I’ve seen and the only time I’ve seen Usyk struggle was with Bellew and that was the first few rounds. Like the pundits I had bellew leading as it took usyk 3 or 4 rounds to figure out how to handle a scrapper like Bellew. If AJ takes the same approach then he’s a good chance of of winning early but the risk of an early burnout from AJ is also possible. Remember Usyk has put on a lot of muscle weight for this fight so his game dynamics may change.

as for Fury and Wilder I think it’s all been a under handed game to get more hype for their third fight but it can never be proved without one of them eventually spilling the beans

Usyk according to two judges beat Chisora 115 - 113. Chisora although decent isn't an elite heavy.
Great fighter though he is, Joshua will be too big and hit too hard for Usyk.

Fascinating match up. Usyk has come through from light-heavy with the same impact Evander Holyfield did. He will cause AJ some problems and could even nick it on points, but he hasn't ever taken those kind of punches and we don't know if he can. I expect AJ to win in the later rounds.

One punch and it's all over, he struggled with Chisora and he's one of the smaller heavyweights.
Yeah chisora can be dangerous but is relatively short and he struggled with him.

Aj is levels above that, Usyk has to close the distance but then he's in real danger territory.

Hopefully a nice KO and then the pressure back to fury and wilder for one of them to man up and face aj if they are so confident.

It's shit the way boxing works, Usyk can step up in weight and be mandatory so soon. Other boxers have to wait years. You step up in weight and you should have to start from the bottom again and earn a shot.

I think some on here have got the wrong impression about Usyk's physique. The latest word is that he's weighing in at 16.5 stones. At 6 feet 3 inches he's every bit a full heavyweight. Same height as Muhammad Ali but heavier and a full five inches bigger than Mike Tyson. He's probably the only heavyweight around capable of outpointing Joshua. Tango is right that we don't know how Usyk will handle AJ's huge punches. Can't wait to find out.
