I had the misfortune to have to spend 2 consecutive days at the Walk-In Centre and A&E last week with a relative.
It was evident that quite a few people there were the worse the wear for drink, and not only were some of them being obnoxious to the staff, they were also upsetting many sober people there with their obnoxious behaviour.
Strangely, I didn't see one person there who was suffering through smoking cigarettes - and yet they have health warnings on the packets and are not displayed in shops and supermarkets.
Contrast this with alcohol.
What really pisses me off is the hypocrisy of "boozers" including some on here, who constantly make reference to drinking or even getting "plastered" as being an acceptable activity.
At some time in the future alcohol will be controlled much more rigidly - and for me it can't come too soon.
If you disagree - tough!!!
