I don't think it's an unreasonable position to think that we might have started the season better with a more evolutionary approach.
Whether that would yield long term success is a different matter. We'll never know and we're on the journey we're on now. Time will tell.
Would it have bought time for some slightly more measured recruitment? Possibly.
As for Armand (my favourite subject), we miss him every minute of every game. He played 55 minutes under Critchley and he seemed to cope with it fine to me but the consensus was he's just a big lump.
As I understand it, his replacement (presumably signed precisely because he's the kind of pure football player Armand isn't and can thus cope with playing Critchball) has 0 goals, 0 assists.
Armand currently has made 5 sub appearances and scored 2 goals for Altay.
Armand under Critch made 2 sub appearances and provided 1 assist.
