Always hated Rochdale......

........ever since we first went down to division 4 and we only drew when we took thousands there. We expected to go straight back up and we realised that that division wasn’t going to be as easy to get out of as we thought. The year after we took thousands again for an early kick off when cars got trashed after we got beat (I also had to have 6 stitches in my cheek when one of their “fans “ threw a brick in my face as we were walking back to the train station). Have also had trouble with them outside our ground during the dark times when crowds were at an all time low and everyone came here and took the pi55. Today is the latest in my reasons to hate them especially as I now have to spend the day with the wife’s family 😂

Remember the Spotland supporters club getting trashed in the 80's. I grabbed my brother through a door as a fruit machine was launched at the quivering Rochdale fans. We appeared in the ground for nothing. Very Mr Benn.

Always seem to play them in appalling conditions.

Didnt we have a game postponed in 2000 and was played in March 2001. It was the start of our late charge for the Play Offs.

We used to cause mayhem in the 80s going there but never seemed to get the right result. My daughter was born in Rochdale so ive now got a soft spot for them. They are an honest club who are punching above their weight a bit in L1 .

We have a habit of disagreeing don’t we PNENIL 😂 Merry Christmas mate 👍🏼

Just one of them grounds we never seem to win at. Even last year we agonisingly hit the post in the last minute after dominating pretty much all match.

Remember that early kickoff at Rochdale, it was something like 11am to try stop pre-match drinks so as to prevent any violence. It was also around the time of "that" match at Bury too. There was some report around that time listing a handful of clubs that had the biggest problems with hooliganism. There were the usual suspects; Millwall being one and I think maybe Leeds but also Blackpool.

Yes. Drove across for the early kick off and then got back for a Saturday Combination game in the afternoon.

Been Spotland twice recently think we drew one and lost the other 3-0. Brad Potts took a swipe at clearing the ball, completely missed and led to a goal. Never rated him that much. So much so I dedicated my avftt name to him 🤣
